Think back? we do not have go to far back so why, Oh why do we now only get (What I think) is second class type managers? Thank you for reading this! James the one. Portugal

Jimbo, Tony came out the other day and said that Hughes interviewed the Club not the other way around!

You should feel very privileged that he decided to pick little old us!

    1. Who do you consider to be a "top manager"?

    2. We have been second class team (or lower) for the past 15 years. Which "top manager" would want to come to a club who haven't been in the top flight for 15 years?

Well Dave Thomas, I remember well that a man called Bill Shankley took over Liverpool in the old 3thd. div; days and made them the best team in the country! By the 70`s they were untouchable like we were under Stock, Jago,Sexton just to name a few of our great one`s! And also we have never been a 2nd. class team , just played better teams sometimes!!!! I think you should get out more often.PS sorry about the spelling, just tired!!

Always out and about my friend in fact no time to relax .. Not 606 is always active on all my portable devices : Currently in Sussex working on a new secret brand. QPR has always been a great London club close to my main home with a great reputation for good football that s why we have been purchased as a future brand .. Alas football is now a business and thats why we have a high profile manager now ... Its sometimes not good to look back as you never move forward ... The examples you quoted are all great but built on stability Hughes has to be the one we know put our energy into ... he has the skills IMO to make our club great again ... At least we are not standing still I call for stability and i am sure you will see growth.
I think that there is no patience anymore we all want success now at any cost to me that's very shallow. I look at Swansea at the moment they are growing towards being an established football team. Our old managers became great through success and stability ... I was there!

As old as you? Not likely. I heard you cut the ribbon at the opening of Stonehenge! :emoticon-0139-bow:

51 years old James but lived in Southern France so that takes off 10 years ... lucky to have Gyspy blood take off another 8 years ... Stunning good looks from my family take another 5 years. Travel as much as I can , 16 Stone but a low fat index and can still play football 30 minutes full on.
Work as little as i can, do yoga and gym 3 nights a week ... so in real terms I am under 40 by a mile and will never be old ... Peter Pan
