did you take time off from sheep worrying to listen then? you scoundrel leaving us workers who cannot listen in in suspense
Is someone gonna post this bastard interview!? Even if you have to sit and write it out watching safc.tv (I don't subscribe, it's ****...), somebody do it!
i was impressed with what he said... some of the highlights for me: basically he's frozen ticket prices; getting fans and loud support to every game is more important than generating revenue from supporters. having key people in business positions wil help to maximise the earnings potential of the club to make us as competitive as possible. payed homage to Sir Niall. wants to be a comfortable top 10 team with more respect from other teams and pundits, wants big teams to fear coming to the SOL.
Did he at any point say that Messi, Chiellini & Giroud were in the bag for next season? Straight yes/no...
he didnt name any players... but there was a twinkle in his eye that said to me that deals for all 3 had already been done!!

Are you by any chance employed by the club and trying to drum up bisiness for the tv channel. Shame on you.
Sunderland chairman Ellis Short says the continued strengthening of the club's support is integral to the team's progress on it. The club recently froze season card prices as they look to push onwards and upwards with Martin O'Neill at the helm. The chairman says O'Neill's arrival has had a noticeable impact on the supporters and has highlighted the importance of the fans' role in driving the club forward. In an interview broadcast exclusively on SAFC TV, Short said: "It's very important for the fans to show their support. "Since Martin has joined there has been a noticeable increase in the noise around the stadium and it certainly seems like the fans' support is stronger since he joined. "That's the kind of support we want going forward. The better the support, the better chance we have on the pitch. "That's one of the reason we froze ticket prices. We're not really interested about the amount of money we can make from the supporters. "What we're really interested is getting the supporters there and getting them singing, cheering and fully behind the team. "That's what helps us do better on the pitch." Short officially took on sole ownership of the club at the end of the 2008-09 campaign having previously been an investor as part of the Drumaville Consortium. The club have made big strides forward since and secured a top-ten finish in the Barclays Premier League last season. And while Short is reluctant to set concrete targets going forward, manager O'Neill's searing start to life on Wearside has given Short a tantalising glimpse of what could possibly be achieved. "I hate to make projections, and what I'd rather do is talk about what happens over the next few seasons," he said. "I would like it if we're not in a relegation battle ever again, and I would also like to finish in the top ten. "But rather than just a top-ten finish, I'd like it if we could finish comfortably within the top ten. "I'd like more respect in the league, which comes from better performance and better league table position. "I'd like it if when the big teams come here to play, they are afraid of losing. "It would be nice that when the big teams come, rather than the pundits talking about them taking maximum points from the likes of Sunderland, I'd rather they were talking about how tough a match it's going to be and how they could very likely lose. "If we're playing that kind of football and competing well in the top ten, then that's the kind of results that we, the Sunderland fans, want."
Shameless, i'd rather she was saying "meet me behind the bike shed in ten minutes and bring that big strapon again" just my imagination but then again, i've been stuck offshore for 2 weeks now.
