I dont like the man, never will, terry that is.



He is a disgusting human being, an absoulute sack of ****, a sneaky slimey piece of horse manure. And on top of all that he is a ****ing **** player, he isnt even any good and shouldnt be in the side. He was carried for years by carvalho, alex and now luiz at chelsea ( not suprising he didnt make his england debut til chelsea became a good side when abramovich bought the club and the players around him improved) and by rio for england for years.



Absoulute disgrace of a decision and I will not be supporting him. He is an effing disgrace for taking it back. As if trying to ruin our world cup bid wasnt bad enough, the man has no shame.
 
pathetic. Don't blame terry myself though. Capello has once again handled things so insensitively. Wonder how rio feels after being told he was Terry's punishment rather than a genuine captain.
 
Why the **** is that sack of **** cpatain? He isnt captain material.

He sleeps with team mates girlfreinds, undermines all his managers.
 
all them comments above mine i totally agree with 110%.rio unfortuantly has had his problems with injuries,but when you play football that happens.
to give terry the armband again is a total disgrace,he slept with his best mates girlfriend,his dad has been done for dealing drugs,his mum been done for shoplifting and his brother did what john terry did and we all know the tragic results off that.
rio tell capello to get stuffed and retire from internationl football and now concentrate on being fit for your club.
give the armband now to somebody else who deserves it after you,but i really am lost to think who?

Terry should never of lost the captaincy in the first place. So what he shagged sumone's ex girlfriend, it's just Bridge being a *** realy and rival fans suddenly having a moral conscience when one of their players stands to gain. Happens all the time. If we focussed on the game rather than people's private lifes then maybe as a nation we would actualy ****ing win something. ****ing media.

I do however feel sorry for Rio. Playing with people's emotions is wrong, especialy at this level. If Capello rated Rio over Terry then he should of picked him as captain from the start. I personally think Rio isnt the best choice, he's just not charasmatic or as influential as others. He's good don't get me wrong.

Anyway Cappello has got it all wrong again- just who is his PR chief? Gordon Brown?!

dont make me laugh. The captain and main stay of the Defence of the team that has won 3 titles in 6 years and been to numerous champs leagues semi's, a final, loads of medals etc etc.

You may not like the man, fine, but you can not dismiss him as a player. He's certainly been twice the player form and fitness wise than rio these last 2 seasons.

Rio should never have been given it anyway. Good player but about as inspirational as a spud. Gerrard aside maybe, no one else comes close to Terry as a captain. No one.

Yes, I remember that inspirational speech Terry gave at the World Cup, the way he tried to undermine the manager by questioning his methods and team selection in the media behind the managers back was a moment of true leadership. But seriously, Terry is good, but I would much prefer to have players like Cahill, Dann (when fit) and Johnson in the center of the defense now, Rio should retire from international football and concentrate and staying fit for a full season, as for Terry, yes he has been the main stay and captain of that defense, but I would argue his form hasn't been consistently great for quite a while, Alex was by far the better defender before he got injured.

Was watching the Sunday Supplement last week, and it was agredd by all of them that Capello liked the fact that Terry did that at the world cup....

Two common misconceptiosn here.

1st - whoever terry plays with apparently carries him whether it be alex, gallas, carvalho etc. Maybe just maybe, Chelsea have a great defensive record because of Terry. He is the constant in the last 7-8 years or so. Remember we watch him every week and he is brilliant almost every week.

2nd - England would fare much better if players like Cahill and Jagielka played. Come on, what top level experience have they got to show for it?? These players would fall apart in major tournaments becuase they have no experience at that level. They should first be playing top level club football before top level international football.

Yes England had an awful World Cup but for me, this came down to the dinosaur system of 4-4-2 and Capello's stubborness. We have the players to play a more flexible system like 4-5-1 but dont.

He may have been better fitness-wise, but in terms of form Rio has been excellent when he's played. Terry's been carried by various better centre-halves over the last few years and it showed in the World Cup. Rio wasn't there to cover him and he was awful. He's a great leader and still a good player (fair enough, I was exaggerating when I said 'mediocre'), but along with his questionable personality, I don't think he should be anywhere near the England captaincy. And he certainly shouldn't be an automatic choice for England's strongest team.

Yet Terry and co. have bags of top level experience and still fall apart at major tournaments, maybe it's time we put less emphasis on having a team full with bags of experience and just look at those who could offer the most on the pitch in their current form, and we definitely need to put less emphasis on the armband, we should be like most of the big nations and just give it to the guy with the most caps, if somebody needs an armband to stamp his influence on a team then he isn't a true leader anyway.

Capello doesn't seem to agree with you on either count. And the worlds best stricker David Villa rates Terry highly. Now whose opinion should I take, Villa or a fan of a rival club......mmmm.

Capello disagrees with thousands, probably millions of people - fans, pundits, players, managers - on all kinds of issues. So we can't exactly take his word as gospel can we? As for Villa, top player, but he's not played every defender has he?
 
Who cares what Villa feels about Terry. Does Villa choose the England squad and name the captain? No. Hope Rio stands down and focuses totally on Utd.
