Thats why we need a strong owner who is in it for the long run. If we were to copy the Barcelona model (not that I'm comparing Rangers to Barca) where every Rangers team from Under 11s through to the first team use the same tactics etc then the system could work. We wouldn't see the conclusion until maybe 8/9 years down the line, but then we would expect every season after for another 2/3 players would be added to the first team to replace players that move onto bigger clubs. The criticism would be immense, but the real fans would support it. I think for this to be implemented we had to go through this kind of situation. We all know where spending got us, so need to consider a new approach. It wouldn't even take that much money to get started. Patience would be the most important thing.
I agree a strong new owner is a must. It will be a mark of the man who takes over if he successfully pulls it off. It's imperative however that whoever comes in puts an end to Rangers recent habit of signing loan players to fill holes in the squad. Much better to bite the bullet now and stick a youth squad player in, get him the experience to fill the gap instead. Loan players are a nightmare with usually high wages and no sell-on value. P.S seen the Kennedy story in the Record ... although not confirmed anywhere else : http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2012/03/13/rangers-in-crisis-blue-knights-rescue-package-gathers-pace-but-other-potential-bidders-back-off-86908-23786219/.
Agree with you about loan players. No point in paying a loan fee and wages just to develop another teams player. Much better putting our own players in, getting them experience and hopefully increasing their future value which the club will benefit from.
The skinny, bald chap from the BBC said it. McLaughlin or whatever his name is. The one the huns think is a taig
Can you narrow it down a bit? According to FF, Jim White is the only non-taig working in the media today.
If I were a Rangers fa I would worry about the dodgy administrators Whyte employed to get the club on the right path. These two bit part administrators talk as if they were dodgy used car salesmen. They talk of, at least one interested party from the middle east. What exactly does "at least one" mean. Surely they should know if it was one, two, three, four or how many. That is like dodgy used car salesman saying the car had only three owners at least one was an old lady. Surely after all that has happened to Rangers fans and what they have had to suffer poor Gambol and Magic, deserve better than half truths after almost 25 years of lies.

Gambol, the story I heard is that you never had your mojo, but I have stop worry about your deficiencies long ago.
