my day was madness from start to finish...Mondays suck, it's official! It's non stop, and i don't get home til 8.45..and then i have to cook dinner! I finally sat down at 10.30 lol..not good! But...at least the pupils on a monday are lovely, without that i think i'd go mad lol. How about yours?
Yeah, Mondays should be banned!! I have quite the opposite, i get to uni for 11 for a one hour lecture, and then have to sit around until 3 when i have a 1hr tutorial so having left the house before 10 i dont get in till after 5. Its not as bad as you, but its very boring. I much prefer fridays, i have 3hrs straight and then get home for lunch and then go out to ref. Much nicer!

Times have obviously changed since I was at Uni - when my days were timetabled like that, I used to go to the library to study or to the ICT suite and work on assignments.

Morning all - mad start to the day. After yesterday's 10K word read through and check-out, I had the conclusion arrive at 05.00 to go through. Almost there now, just an Abstract to review later today and Little Miss W_Y will have her dissertation completed. She will hand that in with her final film tomorrow and she has virtually finished her degree - just a short 2K essay to be in by June. Where did those 3 years go? I had a panic whilst sitting stationary on the M1 this morning - I was not sure if we were playing tonight! Thanks for the frothy AK....

Tiusday will be the new monday and you will not want that as well, then wednesday and so on. I see a plan, seven day week end.

Luckily Yorkie, mine was more a grammar and context review. Little Miss W_Y is very Dyslexic and whilst all the spelling and grammar tools work OK, she has a habit of making very long sentences and using words out of context i.e. automaton instead of ultimatum!! Spot on AK - ban Mondays and Thursdays become the new Fridays and we are almost there...
I suspect that if I had written my daughter's thesis she might have been building roads too...her 2:1 was in Business...
Morning all. Today is a day of assignments. Going back to what i said about Bernard Mensah and the attitude of the academy students and this just sums it up again. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...ouldn_t_be_doing_as_well_without_their_help_/ Times havent changed lol. Thats what i do, but i tend to find that after 2.5 hours sitting in the same chair im very bored and my legs are stiff and sleepy. Also, despite expansion and dedicated silent area its still very crowded and i am lucky to find a space with my laptop. Plus you still get the inconsiderate twerps and twerpettes who like to answer their phone and shout. I tend to get more done on a tues/weds when im at home. Nah, i like Tuesdays. Its simply that my timetable always seems to be pants on a Monday.
I am supervising student dissertations at the mo. Out of my 5 UG supervisees: One has given up.. I only found out after weeks of emailing her to turn up One has been avoiding me for three months... I nabbed her in a lecture last week... and she has just "re" started One has had a wobble and has gone to counselling One is three weeks behind One is two weeks behind and has dyslexia We have had lots of So nothing changes
