If we have a cock-up result rather it would come against PFC than Palace or Reading! Beat those two teams and I believe we can start to smell the coffee!!
am i the only southampton fan who could no care less about portsmouth and just see them as any normal game?
I don't normally get on the wagon off enjoying their suffering, but there would be some poetic justice if that scenario happened. Just to give them some glimmer though, how about this; they beat us and then go bust at the end of the season and can claim victory in the last ever game/ Be careful what we wish for.
So, they beat us, then go bust, & we nab 1st place of West Ham who after going on an amazing run....get six points taken back. I'd buy that for a dollar. Hell yeah.
What I am about to tell you is absolutely true. Today the very lovely Mrs Godders and I visited a local National Trust property where the "guide" in one of the rooms turned out to be a West Brom fan. He didn't know I was a Saints fan when he told me that he and his fellow fans had a very soft spot for pompey because "they saved us from relegation by letting us beat them so that Southampton would got down". He said the Pompey fans had even bought West Brom shirts in the club shop before the game and wore them throughout match whilst cheering West Broms every touch of the ball during the game. He said he didn't think West Brom had had an easier game all season. So you may wish to be all generous and sportsmanlike to that bunch of cheats but I am hoping that it is not only us that sends them down but that we beat them by the most embarassing of scorelines.
I have a stat, Channonfodder is power hungry and very boring. Closing treads because it doesn't suit his taste.
I would love for our game to be the one that relegates them, but don't like the thought of throwing the last game! Annoys me with that West Brom game, because if Pompey had won, we still would of went down. Same as if we had won, even with Albion winning we still would of stayed up.
Or perhaps because the thread wasn't Saints related. Or football related. Or sports related. If you have a problem with a thread being closed, make a case for it being re-opened by PM. It's perfectly possible.
Not every thread has to be about football or Southampton FC. The world is bigger than that. I thought this was supposed to be a 'community', what if that 'community' wants to talk about a matter without opinion from people from other clubs of GC? You seem happy enough for 'hello, i'm new here threads' instead of having a welcome thread pinned to the top for people to post in. I mean they're very football related aren't they!
Joey B I thought you were so busy in you capacity as a world super banker that you would not be able to find the time to come on here asking dam fool stupid questions and generally being a thoroughly obnoxious little twerp. I am of the opinion that the only banks you have anything to do with are blood banks and sperm banks which I think means you are a bloody wan*er.
