A quick review of the threads shows a fair amount of angst and misery going on, which is understandable, but in my view premature. One thing is certain - we are in the Premier League, and will be as long as we keep fighting for it. If it doesn't work out, we will be back - and this is the point - how many clubs can actually believe that? I've read quite a few posts along the lines of 'this is QPR, we always do it the hard way, how we've suffered etc etc'. Come off it lads, we're lucky - great club, great owners, great supporters, real reasons to keep on shelling out every week. Could you really say that as a supporter of Brentford, Rochdale or Aldershot? Now those are guys who are allowed to wallow in self pity, not us. It ain't over til it's over COYRs!!!!!
Well said I particularly hate Barton looking so sorry for himself but the penny has dropped and we all need to support him and SWP now ... There is no time to moan and I think we are playing better each match
Yes, yes, yes SB, thank you very much. Relegated already? Don't be daft. There's still over one quarter of the season left to be played for christ's sake! Plenty of twists and turns still to unfold.
Well said 73, But did you see the game to night with Arsenal V Newcastle? I do not want to be downbeat, but can you all seeing our super Rangers beating them ?
Wasn't saying that James ( though I won't write us off until before we've actually played the games) was just trying to say wherever we are playing next year, we are better off than the majority of clubs, so let's stop whining and get on with it. Hope you enjoyed the sloe gin.
Indeed it is Mr CB, lets hope Sparky can inject some inherited 'SAF' never say die attitude into our team before the NPC trapdoor beckons. Now is the time for him to earn his money.
Good OP ....I just hope the players fancy having "a bit of a go" to give us something to smile about !
How many of us could see R's beating Chelsea when we did. They had just thrashed Swansea 4-1, Bolton 5-1, Everton 3-1 and Genk 5-0, lost only to ManU away before losing to us. Just saying anything is possible as long as there's games left unplayed and the laws of mathematics allow survival. We actually only need to take 12 - 14 points off the remaining 10 games, and we meet Swansea, WBA, Stoke, Sunderland who really don't have so much to play for, no fear for relegation, no real hope to get to Europe. A win against Liverpool would really make a difference and could very well be the one game that might start the drive we need to save us from relegation...
Great post SB. It's not over 'til it's over. And in the great words of the muscled one... 'we'll be back' - whether it's turning things around and squeaking out 17th, or returning from the Championship. The future's not so bleak... we do have great fans for a great club and owners who have a LONG TERM view on success! Now that's something to smile about
