Welcome to a thread of prediction, speculation, prognostication and downright clairvoyance. INSIDE THE PROMOTION CRYSTAL BALL: please log in to view this image West Ham - home. Forest - home. Millwall - away. Watford - home. Reading - away. Derby - home. Peterborough - home. Blackpool - away. Cardiff - away. Leicester - home. Chief Seance Neil WARLOCK (eh, eh?!) says we'll need 22 points from these remaining 10 games. Will his magic work and get us into playoff terrority, or will we fall by the wayside like last season? I've always said it's teams who mount a late charge who are best placed to get the third promotion to the top flight. I have a good feeling about our chances after seeing how average teams like Hull and Middlesbrough are, and how energetic and well-balanced our team has started to look once again. What predict ye?
West Ham - Win Forest - Win Millwall - Draw Watford - Win Reading - Draw Derby - Win Peterborough - Win Blackpool - Loss Cardiff - Draw Leicester - Win I reckon. Cautiously optimistic.
I get too disappointed when making predictions... I am hoping for two consecutive wins against West Ham and Forest, that will be a total of three on the bounce, something we haven't managed all season... If we can pull that off we might well be in a very competitive position with all the teams above us playing one another or still needing too. I was looking at the table earlier thinking who is it we shall have to snatch 6th from, I have a feeling it would need to be Boro or Hull...
I'd love it to be Hull, I really enjoy when their fans tell me how little they care about us and it would be a prime opportunity to bring it up again.
West Ham - Win Forest - Win Millwall - Win Watford - Win Reading - Win Derby - Win Peterborough - Win Blackpool - Win Cardiff - Win Leicester - Win Ok, so I'm an optimist ....
It's been a while since we went on a winning run like that. But hey, reading did it last season, only for us to end it when we battered them 0-0 at our place. Reading went 8 wins on the bounce, I'm good for that.
The 22 points means win all the home games and draw the away, I have a feeling we shall only need 20 points. Is that achievable? I say only if we win the next two. 14 points from 8 will feel a whole lot easier... When you look at the table and you see the 4 points lost to Coventry it is painful.
The teams looking not only better, but more consistent under Warnock. And while we often got results while playing **** under Grayson, we never looked capable of doing so, we just somehow scraped out results out of nothing. The way Warnock has us playing will see us get results while playing badly without feeling it was luck. From what I've seen, I'm more optimistic about the playoffs. All it takes is a couple more wins. After the match we gave West Ham earlier in the season, can see us beating them this time. Hoping to see Darren O'Dea as a machine against, but not getting my hopes up.
WHU Win Forest Win Millwall Draw Watford Win Reading Lose Derby Win Posh Win Blackpool Draw Cardiff Draw Leicester Win 21 points, may just miss out on playoffs this season.
I would take another 21 the other teams need to play each other and one way or another they are going to be dropping points right left and center.
we need 22 points to be on 75, which is the highest points total of a club finishing 6th in the past. We could accurately predict we'll actually need fewer than 75 points to get that last spot, 72-73.
I reckon we need around 19-20 points actually. Its achievable but im not getting my hopes up just yet. If we beat West Ham then I will get my hopes up I think
