Because they kill their own civilians? Because they are medieval in their treatment of criminals? Because they wouldn't allow extradition?

Godwin's law deals with "comparisons" to the Nazis, I never compared the Taliban to the Nazis, I gave an example of a war where the main participants (the UK and The US) were not attacked but went to war to protect others. Poland was invaded by Germany, the US was not directly threatened, neither was the UK, but declaring war on Germany was the "Right" thing to do, no one could reasonably argue otherwise. As for the US "invasion" of Afghanistan, there is no such animal. There was no "Invasion" because as I showed previously, NATO (not the US or the UK) were asked to intervene by the Government of Afghanistan.
Who was being protected when Afghanistan was invaded? The government of Afghanistan were the Taliban The US replaced them with warlords of the Northern Alliance It could be argued that this is the same as Hitler installing the Vichy French Government <Goodwinslovingit>
