It was down most of yesterday too, I thought it was sorted when I saw there was a new article posted by ToP, but when I tried to post on it, it just jammed again.
i find City Independent annoying now. Used to frequent regularly as I feel the CI site is the only one without tiger painted faces and plastic fans on it. However, the membership has dwindled as its problems have escallated and I am left with no other choice than Not606, even though I fear most on here are 'new' fans with no real passion for the traditions of our club.
Just tried City Independent myself and it's not working. As for the newer fans, I'm glad we have them. The KC itself started the ball rolling in 2002 since then the Tiger Nation has been on the rise.
This is what I was getting at though. I'm only 18 and have only been going to City for about 13 years, so I'm one of the newer fans but I certainly didn't turn up for the PL or anything. Our attendances are similar to before the PL days and whilst we picked up a few people who otherwise wouldn't have cared from around the City, most of them have disappeared now and it's more or less the same fans as before the PL.
The fact that not606 is Hull Citys most popular forum is pathetic. Most other clubs have their own independent forum which everyone uses. City Independent is by far our best but you're lucky if you get a page worth of posts in 3 days. We could do with one busy forum abit like Brightons. http://www.northstandchat.com/forum.php
This is our forum, whats the problem with that. Most indepent ones are laid out awfully and impossible to use.
i fear you are correct. The likes of Fish/Dolan, Buchannan, Lloyd WERE the darkest days for me. Then Adam Pearson came along. Many wont remember those dark days and the ones who do wont moan about a thing at the moment. Its just the plastic PL fans that remain who moan about nowt. If anyone had been promised what we have been getting back in August 2011 nobody but nobody would have complained. Get Real, Get a Grip and support the club and keep the faith and belief until the final curtain call after 46 games. Then its smile or cry time...OK !!! I myself go back to my start of the great days of the Harold Needler years.
We have got some great new fans but alas alot of the other kind as well. But guess if they pay there cash..........
I wouldn't call myself as a newbie, started watching us in the bottom division and at Boothferry Park. I dunno why relative newer fans are chastised by the older lot for nothing more than not remembering great deals of our past. Is this a City thing? Everyone has to start somewhere afterall, and City always want and need new blood in the ranks. Think we should stick together as City fans.
It's good that people are supporting their locals teams too nowadays and not so much the white ****e, Liverpool etc, there will always be a bit of that but it's good to see more Tigers supporters locally than the glory hunters supporting Prem teams.
Well i can see that being the biggest factor why they dislike them. But if they keep on coming to matches, i don't see why when they started should come into it.
