My mate had a Panda. First time I got in it I pulled the ashtray out to use it and it flipped upside down emptying the contents all over the carpet! Quality motor.
Renault 5 GT-Turbo. Bought it for £1500 trying to impress the girlfriend at the time, without thinking about the insurance cost. Even in 1993 that was a big mistake, had to go begging to the all powerful Dad bank. The car and girlfriend didn't last long. Sold the car for a small profit and got to bum the bint. A win-win.
Peugeot 205 1.9GTI followed by a Peugeot 306 1.9TDI. I had all the advice in the world given about not buying French cars, particularly 2n dhand ones. But I watched some TV programme where they discussed how the 205 1.9GTI was like a mini racing car and I was sold. **** off a stick and you could just chuck around like a rag doll. Broke regularly though and was a pain in the arse. Still loved it and when I looked for them recently, you pay an absolute fortune for one in mint condition. The 306 was nowhere near as quick but I had very few problems and that went round corners like it was on rails too.
Beat me to it. ****in hell Magic thats 20k + straight off the bat. Working on the basis that your car gets better as you get older (it may not if you pissed away all your money)what you driving now, a Range Rover?!
My dad has cash, but would never give me any of it The money I have is my own (and my birds ) Got it for £16k because I was paying it up front in one payment Got a few extras put in as well. Still waiting on it getting delivered, only passed my test in December (1st time pass) and ordered it the end of January. Driving my birds 5 year old Suzuki Swift at the moment.
Real men pass the test first time. Only fannies and wimmin fail something as simple as a driving test.
I remind my bird of that all the time She was a second timer, obviously the first BJ wasn't good enough. My brother failed his test 3 years ago and is only getting round to re-sitting it now because his bird gives birth in May
First car was a vauxhall cavalier hatchback, hadnt passed my test But a vauxhall cavalier saloon when I passed On a side note any you Irish fellas want to earn a bt of cash buying and selling cars? I heard cars are cheaper over there by a few grand. had a neighbour whose daughter married a bloke and moved to Ireland. He used to come down every now and again with a BMW M3 convertible or another top of the range car and sell it privately making a fair profit Not sure if its true, but if you sell it over here privately there is no VAT/Tax issues.
