John, keep telling yourself stuff like this if it makes you feel better. It must be really killing you that little old Swansea are in the prem and receiving so many plaudits from around the world
I'd like some evidence from these so called experts who are supposed to be saying its a very poor bottom half of the league
We all see now that the Prem is not what it used to be ......................Have not seen the match as no interest to me but come on now ....................
Truth hurts eh lads? .........................;o) Yes your prem at the mo in a very poor prem (just look at the euro results of the prem teams in europe) but one thing you`ll never be is as big as Cardiff City ...your still in our shadow no matter where you are ;O) crowd today?
Numbers? inclueding the ones there just to watch Man City.............. Anywhere near our 24000+ a game ? Calm down now billybongo its just banter dont blow a fuse ;O)
Ah yes, 2 deflected OGs at Brizzle so the luck's still with you I notice, and you've got ....let me see.....Hull next. Enjoy. Meanwhile the world and his wife are purring over the Swans whilst nobody gives a flying **** about your poxy Club and you know it. Must be killing you. Cue the predictable 'Gramps' 'jokes'.
just saw the highlights of city swansea... clearly city had an off day, but as hansen said, it cant be a fluke that swansea have now beaten a few top teams at home... i think sinclair bottled it, he was clearly put off by hart for the penalty, apart from that all i say is that if you think the likes of chelsea, arsenal, aston villa, wigan, bolton, blackburn, man u and liverpool are as good as they were 2-3 years ago you're deluded. financial fair play and the fear it will strike into clubs like wigan and villa making massive losses every year means that they've had to sell of all the key players... look at the bottom half of the PL. if we get promoted in the next season or two i would be far more confident of staying up than i was 2-3 years ago after seeing the likes of blackpool, swansea, and norwich doing well with championship standard players.
Bongo. Piss off. You have to get there first and the Championship is notoriously difficult. As you've used the word 'bottled' you know what I mean, Swamp. There are lots of teams around Cardiff that are better from what little I've seen this season, and some have Prem experience too so they've been there and done it. As for Prem standards, well whenever I watch lower division stuff I'm shocked at the drop in standard and I'm amazed at how much we've improved. The pace is slower, the passing less accurate, and the overall standard is noticeably poorer. Watched all of your Brizzle game and it was rubbish. You say our team is made up of 'Championship standard players' but they aren't any more are they? They've stepped up and proved that they can do it, with a few exceptions. Blackpool didn't. As for clubs selling their players, most of them go to other clubs in the Prem so you still have to face them - it's not as if they disappear. If you're confident 1) You'll get promoted and 2) That you'll stay up, based on the Prem standard being lower than in the past and the fact that your players will all be able to step up like ours have then you're completely deluded. From what I've seen you're really not very good, so sorry to burst your bubble.
I canât believe how many Cardiff supporters are in denial. Keep telling yourselves Cardiff are the bigger and better club all you want it just makes the fact that little old Swansea are in the Prem and Cardiff are not all the more embarrassing to you. How do you guys cope with the shame?? If I was a Cardiff fan I wouldnât be able to look at myself in the mirror.
Honest to god,you would swear swanc took the Championship by storm last season.Just remember you finished the season on the same number of points as your capital city. You are giving yourself a good account at the moment but lady luck got you to where you are today so just be careful she doesn't desert you.
Talked to a group of Man City fans after the game as they made their way to their cars outside Next at the Morfa shopping centre (we were shopping),they could not belive how bad their team were today and just never turned up .... Said a penalty to the away side was a 100% pen but they did not deserve anything as they were terrible ,asked about the crowd thet thought it was maybe about 18,000 but more than a few there in the "home" stands there to watch Man City. Seems every dog has its day and swansea seem to be riding their luck well at the moment fair paly . Biggest laugh of the day was when the group of Man City fans asked what part of Cardiff swansea was in!!!!! cheeky feckers lol.
KJ, there are plenty of crap sides in this division, there is a gulf in standards between the two leagues, but my view is that its closer than it was 2-3 years ago. if aston villa sell milner, a key player for them, to city, who becomes a bit part player, then that player is having less of an impact in the league. villa dramatically weakened, city only partly strengthened. in particular chelsea, arsenal and liverpool arent as good as they were 2-3 years ago. at their peak they would have hammered you every game. nowadays chelsea and liverpool are toothless up front, and arsenal still vulnerable defensively. it is certainly no coincidence that there is a high possibility that there will be no PL participation in the CL quarters. nor is it that teams like stoke are mid table. when i say championship standard players. i mean none of them apart from sinclair had played in the PL and to be honest, few of them jumped out at you that they would be good enough in the 2010/11 campaign. they have stepped up, but they've shown that good teamwork and tactics can make teams play better than the sum of their parts..
Being a Cardiff fan thats about as close as you will ever get to seeing Premiership football then John
john coming from a jack like stid.......what can you do!!!the jacks have a history of the top division didnt u know that..............our fa cuP nearly a hundred years ago still keeps our sides apart.
....He's been to Fantasy island again, thats the only place he's going to see the bloobs in the premiership, but dont take him to seriously, his geographical knowledge of Swansea isn't good enough to be believable
