Guys and Girls, not sure if this is reassuring or even more depressing but as you can see, the predicament we find ourselves in - i.e.relegation in the first year after promotion - is not at all uncommon. The sources I was using only went back to 2002/3 and since then there has been no year when all three promoted clubs stayed up for at least one year.

Some teams have fallen a long way - Blades, Pompey, Leeds though all three likely on way back up.

Norwich and Swansea should breathe easy for this season but be very wary indeed of the next season.

So, Tony and Amit, unless we outshine Houdini with the escape of the century, what are the plans to prevent us slipping into another 15 years of mediocrity? Will we become another Charlton or manage to do a Newcastle next year and become a Stoke in due course?

We, the fans, will continue to support QPR in which ever league QPR is found. We hope our trust in you guys is well founded for the long haul.

    COYRssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't mean to be pedantic but Pompey are bottom of the Championship and are in free-fall. I think they'll be League 1 next season and that's if they don't go bust.

Pompey are a team who've been struggling with money for years. I think they're a slight exception to the rule. You've got to look at the championship and realistically several teams have been down and stayed down. Burnley, Middlesbrough, Watford and Derby to name a few, Blackpool will do well to make the play offs, as will Birmingham. That league is a very strong league and I think we were very fortunate to come up when we did. We haven't taken our chance like Norwich and Swansea have, and unless we (like West Ham) keep the bulk of their sqaud IF we go down (which I still don't think we will) then we could be an edge of the play offs Championship side next season.

I think if you go down a massive rebuilding process would have to take place. I think Wolves are best placed to bounce back straight away if they go down. Anything is possible in the Championship though which is what makes it the best league in the world

DL, no argument there but they are the exception. The others represent a crazy merry-go-round of promotion and relegation. The key issue is, will our backers keep a squad strong enough to get back rapidly?

Given the parachute payments and the wealth of the Directors, I hope the answer is yes.

i think we will come straight back up. both tony and amit are in for the long haul but they need to be in the premiership for it to be worth their while. i think we will keep alot of our players and we will spend replace those who leave.

Looking logically at this, IF we go down Cisse, Diakite and Taiwo would be gone straight away. Are the remainder of the squad good enough to get us back up at the first attempt? The Championship is a very tough league and I don't think that squad would be good enough and would MH be an astute enough Championship manager to get us back up? He's not really looked at that division as his 'living' and, unlike Warnock, won't really know just what is needed to win it. Our 'saviour' as he was hailed in January could be the albatross round our necks...

The majority of the squad will play. Amit and Tony will back us to the hill to get us promoted on the first attempt. Its if that doesnt happen I am worried about i.e. if we dont go up straight away.
