If Bolton could also somehow pull off a win in the FA Cup I think I'd piss myself laughing :D

All we can do is win our games now, plenty of winnable fixtures left bar City away <ok>

Still feel we haven't turned the corner yet.

If we do we'll take Totterers easy

Only way we'll get in front of Spurs is to win more games than they do, something we haven't looked like doing all season. No amount of hoping or talking about what happened in the past will do that. We need to put up on the pitch, and not much sign of that vs' Stoke. Same problems, same pathetic performances from the same old has beens, loads of chances created, only one goal able to be scored against 10 men by our useless strikers.
Napoli will be the absolute deciding game for us. No more ifs or buts, either do it or admit we will have to clear out and start again. Just like last year, except this year we're not as good.

At the start of the season you all thought you had a much better team and squad than Spurs as well as a better manager and so you should have given your budget. We've got 4 more points than you so far having played a slightly harder set of matches - surely it is Chelsea that has bottled it.

We do have a better team and squad than you but you haven't had the upheaval we have had. Spurs in reality haven't improved one jot since last year and remain in a precariously false position because Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool have stunk the place out but Arsenal & Chelsea will improve for sure leaving you to ponder the vagaries of Europa cup placings with Liverpool & Sunderland.

So having your manager wrongly accused of tax evasion and then tapped up by England doesn't count as upheaval, whereas all Chelsea's self-imposed problems does!

Not what he stated is it? he didn't mention upheaval, he stated "Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool have stunk the place out" He stated we'd been **** and can only improve. You're the one using "upheaval" as an excuse!

Didn't seem to phase the crooked bastard until the cash register signs popped up in his eyes after being offered the England job.

Er - his post started 'We do have a better team and squad than you but you haven't had the upheaval we have had."

He is the one making 'excuses'. I'm happy to look at the league table after 38 games and that will decide who is best. By the way a couple of seasons back Liverpool thought they had had a **** patch and could only improve. Best of luck!

Who said we WOULD improve, he said we CAN ONLY improve! We're shyte & admit it. You've had a prolonged purple patch and now it's all coming tumbling down!

Agree; our worst season for a decade and still only four points behind them and played CL too

    This <ok>

That's the difference between us, Arsenal and Liverpool. Spurs could be included in that list as well.

At least we can accept our problems, the first step to solving a problem is admitting there is one.

Arsenal have been in denial for years about their status as a club, same with Liverpool. Tottenham think they are better than they really are but in fact are only 3rd by default because 3 of England's biggest clubs imploded over the summer.

There must be something wrong with my PC - on my screen his post says 'Arsenal & Chelsea will improve for sure leaving you to ponder the vagaries of Europa cup placings with Liverpool & Sunderland'. Or perhaps you are the one who is getting this wrong......

That's one of the things that sets Chelsea fans apart.
We are definitely far more realistic and recognise and accept our short comings far more readily than other teams do.
It's like Torres said when he joined.Chelsea know they're a big club and don't have to try and convince themselves like lesser clubs do.

We don't have the insecurities other clubs do.

Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool have a misplaced insecurity and cling on to past successes as a form of reassuring themselves they are still big clubs.

When you've seen dross but also brilliance like Chelsea fans have it allows you to be far more balanced.

I can assure you that in 50+ years of supporting Spurs I've seen only a little less dross and only a little more brilliance than you!

Its a rough and tumble now between the 3 Londoners for the 2 CL spots! We've found ourselves further behind than we should be because of the failure to spot and deal with the players v AVB issue! But now we have a death struggle between us , the Spuds and Goons! Great nailbiting times ahead Blues!
