When Harper retires....

More first team football under his belt... FOR CELTIC and IN THE SPL! Krul has had more experience player with OUR team, and that's what really matters. Krul has had more time with our team, and therefore is more likely to be able to communicate with the back four.

I can't believe some of these ridiculous arguements made in FF's favour. The arguement that FF's height is a good reason to consider him really takes the biscuit. Harper is only 6ft, 4 inches small than Krul, and yet he probably wins just as much as Krul in the air.

 

Krul has probably played, what, 15 games for us? Hardly going to be a massive gap between communication for the two. First team football is first team football, regardless of where it is he is learning from mistakes and playing proper clubs at a competitiveish level. Forster back up next year and Krul out on loan. Then next summer the team can decide who will be #1 and who will be back up. They both have good potential, there is no right/wrong answer here yet as we cant judge either two fully, just fan opinion.

 

Krul has played a part in a significant part of our season IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE. Forster plays most of his games against championship and league 1 level opposition. There is a difference.

I'd personally keep Krul, but we might aswell just forget about it and let Pardew decide, but Hughton obviously saw more in Krul.

Forster has done alright for Celtic this year, but he hasn't really wowed me, and remember he is playing against inferior opposition most games, compared to what Krul had to play against.

And btw, Forster has hardly been free of mistakes whilst at Celtic.

For me, I'd like to see Forster get a shot. He could potentially have a massive future with us. He's a big, big talent (no pun intented!)

I think next season Krul should go on loan to Celtic and Foster come here as cover. Then we can get a proper comparison.

Though at the moment i think Krul is ahead in the pecking order.

 

Harper should never have walked straight back in after injury, Krul was doing well and improving by game and suddenly he's dropped for the returning Harper, i'd understand it if Harper was world class but personally I rate Krul over Harper. Either way there isn't much between them.

 

At this moment in time it would be Krul because we havent seen what Forster can do in the premier league yet, if he was given a chance though a lot of minds might be changed if hes any good, because I dont rate Krul that highly if I'm honest.

 

I can't believe that some people are committing such knee jerk reactions to the Stoke game and rubbishing Harper. He's been ****ing fantastic for us since Given left.

I was talking against the people that ARE committing knee jerk reactions and calling Harper **** because of his performance in the Stoke game.

All i was stating was that it's ridiculous that some people are calling Harper **** because of his performance against Stoke. That is all.
