You obviously don't rate him RR, that's your opinion. Most on here do rate him and would you rather have Diakite, Derry or Buz in place of him? Diakite can tackle but is a liability with his timing and lack of passing skills. Derry is a good tackler but one-paced and a liability with anyone running directly at him. Buz isn't a good tackler and drifts out of games, he has better attacking skills but rarely shows them, he's a sort of Ali-Lite. Just point out where Faurlin fails as his job is not a goalscorer...
With regards to the initial comment I feel that that is being pretty harsh on Diakite. Yes when he won the ball he liked to run with it, but rarely did he give it away, most of the time he made a simple pass (albeit not always a forward one) or he won us a foul. The problem lied that with all the free kicks we keep pumping it forward back to our opponents and then we're back to square one. Yes losing a player like Faurlin is always going to make things tough, but even without him, we still have a squad capable of survival! Diakite will prove to be a good signing in my opinion. My problem lies with players like Traore and Barton who DO give the ball away needlessly, and players like SWP who have no clue what to do when they reach the final third. Instead of trying to replace Faurlin with a different style of place in the middle of the park, we have settled for Barton who can't pick out a pass to save to life.
I didn't call you an idiot, as I said, it's your opinion and I don't agree. That's what this forum is about, I don't slag people off just because they have their own view, we're both pissed off with all that's gone wrong this season...
