Better footballer than he's given credit for, but he's not an out-and-out goalscorer and that's what we need. Wages too high for my liking, so he'll probably be back at the Arse in the summer.
No way will we, or anyone else for that matter pay him £90,000 a week. I actually think Bendtner adds a lot to our game and he does hold the ball up well. He has 2 in his last two which will hopefully give him confidence to score a few more. He should get double figures this season and could well end up our top scorer. That is of course if he isn't seriously injured.
If someone has Mon's far and can actually confirm that he has said if doesn't want Bendtner, then I'll discuss alternatives. Simple fact is if Bendtner is available at the £6m mentioned and a deal can be done on wages (we won't be paying anyone £90k per week) then by selling Gyan he will effectively cost nothing in real terms. I don't think we have £15m plus to spend on 1 striker and this would be a sensible alternative option imo. Bendtner seems to be well liked in the dressing room and although not prolific, he has a 1 in 4 strike rate. £6m is realistic money and affordable in todays economic climate for that calibre of striker and wouldn't upset me if it happened. I think as a full time player, he would add not detract from the team. If someone can tell of where there is a guaranteed 20 goal a season striker around and keen to come here, for £15m, them I'll happily listen.
20 goals a season strikers don't exist anymore, RVP excepted but in general it's more like 15 a season is acceptible for a good striker. I think Bendtner can hit double figures if he can stay injury free coupled with what else he offers us as a holding player etc, that's not a bad return. As you suggest Cest, we won't be giving anyone 90K a week and if he is daft enough to expect that then he's at the wrong club anyway. For me he has till the end of the season to rattle in some goals then we'll decide.
one this i noticed was that him and frazier didnt seem to work together well... this might be because both have been playing up frount alone but bentdner whould play the ball back to the attacking midfielders and frazier whould go alone (was this just me??)
4m would be a great price for him, I'm not a huge fan of him but at that price he would be a good signing, its less than half we paid for whickham and at this moment in time he's more than double the player. i'm sure his dad said he was worth 10 mil aswell. dads ey.
This. If we can get his wage down, £4million is a ****ing steal. Yes, he's been infuriating and inconsistent at times, but when he's good, like the last 2 games, he's a very good player indeed. To buy him for 2 thirds of Gyans loan fee would be magnificent business. We'd still need one more striker, for sure.
I was one of the ones pleased we got him on loan. I hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. He is ****. He has been **** for 90% of his time here. He was **** yesterday, tap in or not. It was the only thing he did all game. In closing get rid, he is ****!
could you tell me straight where you are coming from though cos i know you like him really..........he he think Junior Hoillet would be a good shout.
This might cause some heated debate, i would have mandy carroll. Big lad, wins headers, can kick & shoot with either foot plus would suit MONs style of play. Just my opinion so ffs dont hurling abuse.
I admitted to the Mags, Carol was a great prospect. Dalglish is playing him all wrong. His tactics are ****. I would have been more worried if he had started with Carol and two wingers against us yesterday. The lad is still a handful when he gets good delivery.
Andy Carroll is about as ****e as footballers come. One paced (slow as ****), no first touch, scores 1 every 10 games and would cost £10m and £70k per week. Only plus is he can win the odd header. Come on guys, we can do far better than a craa reject.
FFS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Hes crap for Liverpool, would we want another Geordie goal dodger, or sad Mackem bastard T shirt wearer?
