A good win yesterday. I worry about next saturday becauce Coventry City will be desparate and we do not play well against teams at the bottom of the league. I remember reading a comment by a coventry fan who said there were three teamsworse than Coventry City so they would not be relegated. One ofthem was us.

Looking from my window is very grey. We have low cloud and everything looks like raining but is not. Perhaps more snow later.

Petrol price went up ISK3,00 but diesel is the same. ISK257.3 and ISK260,1 this is GBP1,29 and GBP1,30. The exchange is GBP10,00 is ISK1994.37. This is very expensive.

Morning all - bright sunny morning in bandit country...great win and the usual 2 mins on The Football League show, but they managed to show a number of Derby's chance but not the penalty shout we had in the last minute or so.

    Thanks for the frothy AK...

I liked the comment about seans performance being better than Malkys like for like in first 39 games and I'd say under even more challenging circumstances, also still comforting to know we're not spending stupid amounts, keep the faith the orns and don't listen to any future calls to buy this buy that buy the other.......

Too true Aberdeen - it shows the sense in stability. For sure SD has made a few mistakes and will continue to do so (who doesn't?). But I like the way he carries himself, gets on with what he has and is building a team that gives everything for him and our club. We can ask no more that that.
It's sponsors night on Thursday and I will be fascinated to see the team dynamics - at last years you could tell that the players loved playing for Malky and I am sure we will see the same on Thursday with the players behind Sean.

i paid 1.39 the other day :( I wish i could put my lesson prices up but nobody's doing it, so i can't. Not happy about the cost of petrol at all!

I'm sure you will w_y...i'm hugely impressed with SD, have been since the start, and i'm so glad to see all the SD haters from the beginning of the season, happily munching on humble pie. i just have to stop being smug now lol.

Morning all! Another day of work today, my weekend of friday and saturday goes way too quickly. Was a great day yesterday though :)

I thought that was how Alternative voting worked, but the UK voted no on that referendum. Maybe i was just naive

No, I think we are all naive. We vote for a political party based on their airy-fairy policies which are little more than mission statements. When they win power, they pad out those policies and reveal the true intentions that they didn't want known previously. Then they tell their elected members to toe the party line.

    Call me a cynic.............

I'm paying around 1.39 for petrol and 1.45 for diesel. I get 40 to the gallon on the diesel and still hit 60 in 8 seconds, the petrol.... I get 9 to the gallon and hit 60 in under 5 but thats why I only do about 500 miles a year in that one (along with scaring any passengers!!), £215 road tax is a killer to, tharts 50p a mile road tax!!!
What are the bets on a better finish than last year and what is it with Malky and second half of season dips?

Technically telling MPs how to vote is illegal. Not that a little thing like the law would get in the way of the corrupt (I won't use this next word in the nest)'s that take it in turns to run this country. What about that Labour MP that escaped jail for randomly attacking four people? If that was you or I they'd throw away the key.

A party can tell its MPs how to vote - it is not illegal and is in fact enshrined in our Parliamentary system in the form of Whips etc. If the MP chooses to ignore his or her party they can do so but the party whip can then be withdrawn so that they become independents - and will more often than not lose at the next election

    Which reminds me of this:

One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you; I'm doing community service this week.'

The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you; I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen doughnuts waiting for him at his door.

Then an MP came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The MP was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen MPs lined up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.

Good England win in Paris - a bit twitchy bum at the end, but a good dramatic win. My mate is out there and no doubt will be out painting Paris Red & White tonight....
