Funny you should say that. the first time he came on the bloke behind me said "He's Akpo" after 2 minutes!
One saving grace we didnt have Lee Hughes strutting about winding us up...that would of been too much to take at 4 0
Bit of an Akpo Sodje to me !!!
Funny you should say that. the first time he came on the bloke behind me said "He's Akpo" after 2 minutes!
I liked akpo. Limited of course. But he had his moments. My two abiding memories were his battling performance in the boxing day 9men comeback against Swindon and the day when Parky brought him and another large centre forward on to play hoof ball but took the two wingers off who would have provided the supply!
The swindon performance was his finest hour I remember him playing a one two to himself and getting on the end of his own header that day.
I liked Akpo- will never forget Yeovil away. Been blown around like a rag doll, he comesx on and hits a rocket from 20 yards.
Yes, SC - with the howling gale and the speed that ball hit the net, I'm surprised the goal was left standing afterwards. BTW, the Sunday Mirror has BWP's goal down as a header - I've heard of having your brains in your boots, but that's ridiculous... And talking of overhead kicks, have you seen this? http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...hing-double-overhead-kick-goal-113735046.html
Slightly off topic but i heard that we are looking to sign a reserve right back on loan from a swiss team
If our very own duracell bunny is running out of juice we have to recharge his batteries not buy a swiss clockwork version that needs winding up every 10 minutes.
I assume this means that Hughes's injury is worse that we thought (reported elesewhere for those who are unaware) as he is our reserve right back. Bad news in terms of midfield options too
