We (Cardiff) were poor. If we played like we did earlier in the season we would have won easily.

Even though we were nowhere near our best when we got it down and passed it we were too good for you.

Despite being poor we deserved the 3 points and were still the better side.

Not a wind up but Bristol City looked what they are a team in a relegation fight. I wouldnt want a single member of their starting line up in our squad.

Cardiff have a lot of quality players. Our team isnt at its best and we lack pace.

Bristol City are a rubbish side. May have just enough to stay up. BUT dont look as though there is any promise of anything better next season.

Funny moment Steads celebration. Has he seen his non existent biceps?

Watched the 1st half on the smallest, furthest away and lousiest TV in a Caleta de Fuste bar yesterday. Couldn'treally get a good view of what was going on but it seemed that BCFC were well in the game when the own goal/deflected goal was scored.

Returned home to listen to the 2nd half and thought we were always in with a shout but then the final score says differently.

Now we can cry as much as we want but the simple truth is that we didn't get the job done despite having several chances to put 3 points in the bag. Constantly hearing that we are too good to go down doesn't ease the pain that we could face the drop, and until such time as we are mathematically safe my concerns will continue.

You are definately not too good to go down.

Portsmouths points deduction could be what saves you.

Bristol City are amongst the worst sides ive seen this season. Maybe the worst.

Thanks for the 2 goals though. Awful defending. Thats why your down the bottom though.

The stats may show all the goals came from Bristol players, but all the quality came from Cardiff. Not a wind up, just the way I saw it.

As said above, we need to play better than that to be sure of the playoffs, but Bristol City have a battle on to avoid the drop. McInnes may be up for it, but are your players?

From what I've seen, very little to choose between the bottom 6. Forest might have the players to pull away and Millwall will scrap to the death - that leaves 4 of you looking at a 10 game mini league.

My take was different,we are a poor side and it took a mediocre side to beat us,I was worried about Cardiff before the match,I had no need to be,they have less chance of reaching the play-offs than we have of being relegated.

We drastically need to improve,so do the they or the title of the Championships biggest bottlers will remain.

    Right!
Firstly you lot need to get behind your team and lift them not sing the royal family anthem. Why are all your supporters dressed as red seats by the way,it looks weird. You do not need a new stadium if you can't fill the one you already have.

I personally think you need Gary Johnson back. The guy is a phone call away and just down the road. There is a guy who will sort the wheat from the chaff and believe me you have a lot of chaff.

You met a poor City lacklustre City side yesterday, the same starting 11 who played Brighton on Wednesday and virtually the same 11 who played West Ham three days prior to that.So basically you faced a side dead on their legs yet failed to take your chances.

I have since watched the Turner penalty shout again and there is no way it was a penalty.I think luck did play a part in our goals if truth be told but your defence just couldn't handle the pace of Mason, and as good as he was throughout I still think Gunner was MOM on this occassion. You had no answer to Whitts other than to kick lumps out of him.

Get rid of McMannus or put him up front (natural goalscorer)and shore up your defence and you may be lucky enough to survive. Good luck lads.<ok>

    Where's Nyatanga by the way?

That's so true John, and we all know truth hurts.

Club bias doesn't (shouldn't?) come into it - most of these asked for comments are genuine impressions of the game.

If you were good enough to stay up, in other words "too good to go down", you should have beaten us yesterday on your own patch.

You had your chance and you blew it against a team trying to get back to earlier season form. We need to improve a bit, you need to improve a lot.

I agree with Massive how can you expect an honest opinion of a Cardiff fan!

Can you honestly say you deserved all 3 points from that game, I'm not saying that we deserved it but did you deserve it, my answer is no I thought both deserved a draw. No one played anyone of the park.

We are playing that way at the moment because of the situation we are in and lady luck has filed for divorce, to concede two own goals with minutes to go in both halves. If it wasn't for Marshall we would / could of won it and then you would of been shouting that you deserved a point.
So come on be honest when you assess it, yes you got 3 points well done but in all honesty what did you really deserve?

    Redordead,
The stats for the game were well in our favour so on that basis we deserved to win, As for Marshall thats what he is there to do (makes saves) i understand that concept is difficult to grasp with David James in goal.
IMO yes we deserved to win more quality will nearly always win games, Still dont understand how the ref never gave that stonewall penalty on Miller.
What has McInnes done for Bristol City them seem to play the same way as they did under Gary Johnson and Keith Millen ???

my view has been posted on the cardiff bristol match thread.

only thing i'd like to add to that is the amount of empty seats was a sorry sight to see....i know the fact that it was on sky may have reduced the figure somewhat, but the 800 or so bluebirds there outsung the bristol crowd....silence the whole game apart from bluebird chants...

Still can't understand why the ref didn't that give that clear handball, or why he refused to blow up for your first goal which he should of done 30 seconds before..

    Ref musta had a shocker..

I agree that the ref had a shocker due to indecision but that would apply equally to both teams. He wasn't helped by a totally inept lino who just didn't have a clue what he was doing there.
