Fine. We have a deal. I won't post on this board again for at least a little while. Good luck with the rest of your "season".

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish: "We will say what we said at the very first game of the season - we will play all the matches, count the points up and see where we finish then.

    Such an odd answer.

to have long term success, managers need time.

You cannot deny that our squad is better and our playing style is better now.

Lets not become like Chelsea with managers.

As I don't know the question that he was asked, I cannot comment if this answer was odd or not.

However, to me it's merely a trueism. At the start of the season Kenny gave the same response when asked what LFC's targets for the season would be. It supports the statement made the owners that they wanted to take LFC back "where they belong". Unlike with AVB this truly is a project.

Dave; I'm a trusting sort: usually to the point of mockery so as I've said all along: I'm not calling for the managers head or any player. I'll keep defending them, supporting them, hoping for them all & any success.

But I also don't want sound bites of what a manager thinks they should say. That response was illogical bullshit.

And I'll repeat again: he stated earlier in the season after this type of display that he wouldn't tolerate people playing like today without those players being shown the exit. Well either he does or we might as well be Chelsea & the players run the show.

I'm fine with transition, I'm fine with not always gelling. I'm fine with bad luck.

I'm not fine with (forget what was paid for them :don't care) them wearing our shirt, picking up a week what most of their fans won't make in a year and is made up of said fans savings and them going home to their miss Region spray tan girlfriend, shrugging their shoulders and tweeting "whoops" to those fans.

There is patience, there is loyalty and there's being played like a mug.

    frank,

We do not know what has been said within closed doors (and that is as it should be). What I don't see though is any of the squad swanning around the pitch in a don't care manner. From that comment you will know that I don't know of any tweets.

Adam is so out of form that it is becoming pitiful to watch him. I hope that it's a bad case of 2nd season syndrome but if not I doubt he'll be with us next season. I also think that the season is now becoming too long for Henderson. But I do have some sympathy for Kenny with his team selection. We have not had a fit Gerrard to call on; Lucas's loss has really hurt us; and the whole Suarez thing has set us back.

I said on Wishi's thread(and i'll stick by it)that imo Kenny has been let down by certain players this season, hes stubbornly stood by and played players that were off form and played them when he should'nt have to justify his purchase of them.

Hes changed winning sides and when he has its backfired on us.

I'll continue to back him because 7 months into his first full season back in which we've won the League Cup and have chance of the FA Cup and have already qualified for Europe i'd be wrong not to.

You're right Dave: and to be fair none of the players that have engaged with the fans on twitter have lorded it.

I think that's what's hard about it: they're all so desperate to prove their worth they fail. hopefully they all relax and do what they're great at.

I have a horrible gut feeling about a couple of them though.

<peacedove>When Dalglish came back to manage Liverpool after Hodgson was sacked he was able to put a run together.
He collected some good points and got Liverpool in the top half of the table from the
bottom half.Since then Liverpool have not been able to win three games in a roll.
For the first time since 2003 Liverpool lost three games in a roll at the Stadium of light yesterday.
My question: Has Dalglish taken Liverpool as far as he can.? <ok>

its about time we wake to facts,we are not good enough to win the prem and infact we are not good enough for fourth and i will be supprised if we finish in the top 10 the way we are going.
Why? i will tell you why and its a fact that we are just not good enough,i am sorry but kenny dalglish is not the answer to our problems.sorry to upset some people but its the truth.we can be sentimental and roll back the clock to the past dalglish era but at the moment it just is not working.
Ok we won the carling cup.just.
I am sorry but we have players that he has brought in who are just not good enough.Downing,Adam,Carroll o what o god come on and tell me they are liverp[ool players, well yes exactly they are not.
I will give jordan Henderson the benefit of the doubt as he is young and i believe he will become a great player,he will indeed.
We bluddy hell need a big time striker who is gonna score us goals o for **** we do, and us liverpool fans must realise that.
Are you old enough to remember roger hunt john toshach keegan toshach? dalglish etc aldridge rush fowler owen even crouch and torres and now what have we got? craig bellamy is a legend and i wil not diss him.
    And finally.
IS KENNY DALGLISH THE MAN TO LEAD US OUT OF THIS ****?
i dont think so cos he has made to many mistakes and the legend as he is and we love him for i think will end in a bad way.
Sorry kenny if you came back 10 years ago maybe it would work out.But sorry it aint gonna.

Sorry guys but thats how i feel.
