I was in Block 43 for the first time. There was some fat pr!ck slagging him off all game, blaming him all the time.

Everyone around us was rolling their eyes and telling him to shut up, so eventually everyone was copying him by squealing like a girl and blaming Guly for things such as Jos slicing the ball just to get at him. He stood there looking miserable as people began to sing "If you all like Guly, clap your hands!" and other such songs.

We do have some mongs as fans, this man being a prime example.

He wears red and white, he's one of us. Frustrating yes, but he is one of ours.

To be fair you were in block 43, the biggest infestation of ignorant fans you'll find in St Mary's, the majority of which end up booing the team and shouting the most abuse, leaving the earliest, and none of them having attended enough matches to know half the **** they spout.

I thought this guy was banned?

I agree I think there is a racist slant to the boo boys on block 42 43. It's the lack of toleration that exposes it. People call our fans arrogant and I think these minority fans are the reason why. Let's not get all doom and gloom though there are many great honest fans at saint marys. Its just we aren't as vocal.

anything to back this up? it's a big allegation to call people racist as an 'opinion'? and lack of toleration?

If I'm being honest, it wasn't too bad a lot of lads in chinos in front of us but on the whole there was a fair bit of encouragement after a slow start.

Good and amusing that fans united to show support for Guly and take the piss out of the idiot slaughtering him.

The key word there is 'think' I'm sorry people but i like Guly but it don't stop me seeing that sometimes he is poor! i'm not a racist and i suggest most people are not either, they just judge him on what he's paid to do and that's playing football! Honestly i think it's embarrassing that people are saying that's the reason people criticise him!

Only many evening/afternoon spent in the northam. Used to sit in there every game before i started taking my lad. Loads of racist comments from all types of people regarding our players. Minority of course. Had to move my seats in the chapel with a few middle age men that often used words like spick and coon. Stuff I don't want my son to hear. I was even told a racist joke when I took my seat a few weeks ago regarding evra. Maybe I have just been unlucky.
Crowd toleration levels are at an all time low as the start of this thread suggests. Maybe it's because we have been spoilt. I just think people want something to moan about. COYR

I am not guly's biggest fan. But it is not the racist card he just doesn't seem to put effort in. He has hardly done anything in the last two games and yet nigel still picks him. I prefer puncheon or chap low on the rm. they put more effort in. If guly is playing upfront then he can afford to be a bit lazier but he needs to close people down earlier. but i am not going to say any more. He is like marmite you wither hate him or you love him. I used to love him now i hate him.

Heard a fair few racist comments about guly near me in block 42. I was livid. Was going to say something but something happened in the game to shut the pr!cks up.

So a few comments from people (and I bet it's no more than 5 or 6 ignorant morons), means that ultimately Guly is disliked because entire blocks full of people all share the views of those 5-6 people and all hate black players?!

This argument is just dumb.

where abouts? and what kind of comments? of course all racism is unacceptable but would be interesting to see what kind of comments people are capable of conjuring up?!

Racism? odd, considering Tadanari Lee's had nothing but encouragement, and that we've had many black players over the years who haven't been chastised by the supporters.

The fact is that Guly is one of the most frustrating players to watch, and the backward passing, lack of any urgency to win the ball off an opponent and not getting forward or making that extra effort to come back from an offside position starts to grate on peoples nerves, including mine.

Do I shout abuse at him? no, but I have hit many points this season where I've wanted to! he continually loses the ball in the final third with his slow relaxed ''walking play''.

Fact is that you know when Tadanari plays, he gives 100%, when you see Puncheon or Chappers play they constantly go in for tackles and look like they really care out on the pitch... can you say that Guly has given 100% in matches?

yes, he runs quite a lot when required and tracks back well, just because he doesn't run around like a headless chicken after a lost cause it doesn't mean he doesn't put effort in

One of them was wearing a yellow away shirt, the other one said something like "It's you're fault that Guly is so s***, he's getting distracted thinking you're a banana" and a couple more things like that. Absolute ******s.

You've got to watch out for those racists. They're everywhere! Just like all those fascists...... and sexists. As for those existentialists !!!

That reminds me;where's my copy of 1984?

Yeah the pleb in Block 43 said, and I do apologise if any forum members find it offensive, I do not condone it:

"F-off back to Brazil you f-ing useless monkey."

Absolutely stunned.

Which is probably why everyone completely mocked him until he learned to keep his mouth shut. No time for these people.

If someone in a Red and White shirt scores, makes an error or does something amazing, I couldn't care if they were black, white or Japanese.

All that matters is they're a Saint!
