I'm hoping we get them in the cup. What's not to like about walking through a town resembling Islamabad and through someone's living room to get to an away end that could cave in on you at any time?
Goldhawk, I seriously hope the second part of your post is not true. Surely they travel by coach, not train?? I REALLY hope that is not a correct report.
Also I think we tend to forget the huge advantages we offer to owners/investors. We are not only a London club, but a West London club - what better location could there be? TF was only interested in Norwich when his F1 team was based nearby. I may be deluding myself but I think there is something incredibly cool and different about QPR - the name, the shirt, the style, history and tradition. Finally we still have real potential - on the field and commercially - for those willing to buy into the dream. I think Amit and TF are hooked, and QPR, like heroin, can be very more-ish, as we all know only too well.....
I fear that I share your delusion. I also think that we are different, but I would, wouldn’t I. However I do think that TF and AB are also addicted. To me there is something very special about Loftus Road, which is why I was so devastated about not being excited about going to the Everton match last weekend. There is no other ground quite like it, as our owners must have discovered by now. The shirt, style and tradition may only be unique in our minds, but our recent history is untouchable. No one has been through what we have, both good and bad. The rollercoaster thunders on...
Unlike some I'm not ecstatic about being back in the championship. Losing away to Millwall on a wet Tuesday night is crappier than losing to Spurs or Arsenal whatever the weather. If all the mercenaries piss off and we're left with players who feel the way we do about the club that will make me happy though. I'm sure I've posted this before but my favourite memory of Kevin Gallen's days in the team was when we were so skint we sold him to Huddersfield. He was in their team one wet Tuesday night and they got a penalty in front of the loft. He stepped up to take it and blasted it miles wide - and the whole ground sang that song about the magic hat for the rest of the game. Huddersfield sold him back to us after that. Come on You RRRRRRRRRRRRs!
Sorry old friend, Terrypaine, That makes two of us! Thats when I started supporting Rangers in 1947odd and the first game I saw was with Fulham , and guess what we lost at the bush!!!! nothing has changed has it??
