Sorry to say this but Hughes is a terrible manager. Utter twat as well. Hope he ****s off, very bad news for us.
As much as Hughes tactics were naive to the point of bizarre its the players that are letting him and us fans down!!
haha unfortunately i havent quite converted to curly hair and tracksuits, nor do i have a tache of kings yet to be honest i thought we dominated parts of the game today which makes the defeat so difficult to take, similarly the everton game was really positive. interestingly if you look at those two games we were denied by the posts against everton and denied by the officials today. we could have easily won both - those two things arent the fault of mark hughes. i agree Shaun Derry looked out of his depth though, but then again with Faurlin out we're always going to be struggling in the middle.
FFS Imaz, want Briatore and Paladini back as well to set up the managerial merry go round? You will be disappointed, he's going nowhere.
I read somewhere (prob on here but I can't be arsed to look) that Hughes is the 13th best paid manager in Europe/World - I'm struggling to come to terms with that fact when judged against the team performances of late.
He's as good as his record in the Prem and internationally, which for a club like QPR in 2012 is pretty good.
It's ironic, isn't it? He leaves Fulham because they don't share his ambition. And now he's failing to fulfil ours. I said a few weeks back that I would not be surprised to see him walk before the end of this season... and I think that prospect is becoming evermore likely.
If he walks without a hint of a push or something else lined up, he his essentially walking away from management, would never be trusted after his Fulham flounce. Leaving wouldn't do him or us any good.
I remember reading a statistic about his season at Fulham - he only won 3 of his first 18 games but they turned it round completely after Christmas. I said at the time he took us over that if you were a pessimist you would look at the first half of that and an optimist would look at the second. But I think it reveals something more about his style. He (obviously) doesn't have the charisma of someone like O'Neill and has failed to galvanise the team in the short term. He knows what he's doing though and - as all agree - he wants success. We will start to win games. The question is - when?
