Bruce was back blaming his Geordie background in the press again! That's what pissed me off about him. Vaughan for free was a good bit of business as was Larson . Sess for 6million was good business and if sold now would be worth more. He got good money for Bent and made a profit. He also made some bad buys but even ferguson has signed flops. I'm looking forward to what O'Neills transfer policy will be and who he buys. It will also be interesting if Mr Shirt will back him fully.

Perhaps that is his true level a small club like Wigan and he was out of his depth when expectations and league positions are more pressing issues than fending off relegation.
He should never have been appoinyed and Bent was a great signing but he hasnt left any sort of legacy in my opinion for such a highly rated manager entrusted with a lot of cash in real terms.
