Now before everyone gets all argumentative, this is a very genuine post.

We had Sess, Richardson and Catts out today and yet their replacements stepped in and performed well. We didn't miss them at all.

Bruce should be congratulated for assembling a good squad of players but he couldn't ever have got what Mon has out of them since December.

It's a case of good buying of the raw materials from Bruce but a master builder to construct the house from Mon.

Is that me getting some credit as well?

Seriously though, Bruce does deserve credit for the team he has assembled, although he did seem to lose all confidence towards the end. Perhaps we could re-employ him as chief scout?

Bruce had to go as he had lost this dressing room imo but the players he has left us and Mon with are bloody good ones imo. MIG, Larsson, Gardener, McClean, O'Shea, Vaughan, Bendtner, and Wickham will serve this club well imo for some time to come.

He made some very good signings but wouldnt play them. Vaughan,Wickham and Gardner hardly had a look in and McClean couldnt even get on the bench. He even played Larson out of position on the left instead of giving McClean a chance!
For some reason he just kept on pairing Catts and Colback togeather in the middle.

Im feeling the love here. Praising Bruce? Jeez 2 months ago he was a complete plank now he has signed some players who are 'bloody good ones'--- where are these players hiding at? Not taking piss here either , I just dont see the likes of Vaughan, Bender and Gardener as bloody good- just run of the mill players who your good manager is getting plenty out of. Maybe there is more to come but I dont rate them that highly. To be fair though that was a good result today and a good job done.

Without doubt Bruce was an excellent judge of talent as shown with us and Wigan. Unfortunately his apparent lack of personality and passion was reflected in his tactics as he seemed to expect his teams to play well without the muck and nettles element. In his interviews I always got the impression that he knew what he wanted from his players but just could not fire them up.

Bruce did sign good players and your opinion, although allowed, is totally irrelevant.

Bruce had to go imo, as we were in complete freefall and in danger of relegation at Christmas and imo, he had lost the players and the fans. However, make no mistake, Mon has inherited a squad that only requires tinkering with this summer, not wholesale changes.

Btw, aren't all players only as good as the manager that manages them?

Of course he had to go, the issue always was as an overall package as a 'manager' he couldnt do it. The dressing room had long since ditched him and so he had to go , in my oh so relevant opinion. Get that Eurobus rebooked and hand out that beating that never came again, cheers son.

Why not bring back laurie mc as well, and mccarthy, wilkinson, cotterill, reid etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You all tend to live in the past anyway from what I've read lately so get them all back, what a coaching/scouting team that would be!!!!

Zaki-loan, Melciot- over the hill, Nzog- paid good money, Rodallega- 12-14 million worth of rot, and although he gave contract out either Palacios or Valencia were already at the club when he arrived, obviouslt Catts- decent player not sure how much cost. Point is he is not this great scout who unearths these diamonds for nowt- its a misconception and is in no way a dig at Sunlun-- just Bruce. He was never up to the job and showed his true colours at his previous management jobs i.e. jumping ship at 1st opportunity. You did well to get rid of him so quickly.

As a point of debate (serious) who do you think he signed that were successes??

Obviously Bent stands out along with the ex Man U men , but who are the others in your opinion-not yours tho chestermackem- obviously.

Zaki- was a great loan and free you dont need to sign somone to unearth a gem and get them playing

Melciot- was our captian and was a great player for us

Nzog- saved our team and a good player

Rodallega- still a great player for us and cost 4.5m

Palacios and Valencia - signed both...

Catts - less thena million and under 21 captain and still a good footballer

I think youll find he only paid 3.5m for Rodaellga. He also signed Figeroa!
Not bad signings for a tiny club like Wigan.
