Terrible scenes at Euston as R's Fans confront QPR players . Deary me, fans giving players some right stick and the players arent happy
Its all over twitter, some Rs fans giving some nasty stick to players (rightly so or not) and a few players arent happy, Jamie Mackie especially apparently, dont hold me to this
I checked twitter and cant see it mentioned...from Cisse or Mackie or any players. Problem is, i could see it happening. Real real shame
So what's wrong with that? Week in week out people on here give the players stick (Barton especially) in the stands the players are given stick
Yea alot on Twitter saying that the fans proper laid into Mackie, he doesnt deserve that, one of only a few players that actually gives 100%
Confidence must be fragile, have never belived in booing your own or hurling abuse, now more than ever we need to be behind the players.
Difference is, it is not face to face and not likely to cause massive anger between players and fans. Face to face confrontation is 10x as worse. On here we are all voicing our opinions, a face to face argument is asking for trouble.
Jeez the guy only had 10 mins on the pitch today and really looked like making things happen, what is wrong with these so-called fans?
Bullsh*t. The fans have every right to vent their fury. Yes its a pity it seems to have gone in Mackie's direction (if this story is true) but would anyone on here really shed a tear if the likes of Barton or Ferdinand were given a dose of honesty?
I presume that they were on the same train back to London. Why? That is courting trouble. Unfortunately footballers are like bankers and get rewarded handsomely even when they are not producing the goods ... and that gets up people's noses. Despite the fact that Mackie is not one of the top earners, despite the fact that he always gives 101% there will be "fans" who are on a few hundred quid a week who have paid out for the train to Bolton and a match ticket and they will pick on any player in those circumstances. Sounds like Mackie was giving it some too so would have become the focus of "fans'" anger. The players should not be put in that position to start with and should walk away and not get involved. (Much easier to say than do, I know.)
I agree Eamon, the players should not need to face that situation. But things like this have lasting effects. Football dressing rooms are extremley vulnerable to things like this, and one bad experience can ruin any chance we have of staying up.
Its been aimed at the wrong player. I have no problem with Mackie, hes played a little above the level most if us thought he would. Its the others on massive wages that are the problem, apart from Cisse, none of them look bothered and have not lived up to what we spent on them.
