Are you saying you'd rather finish the season trophy-less (which is a very real prospect as things stand) rather than finish it with the Europa League? The Europa League offers you the bonus of playing Barca (who will win the CL) in the Super Cup later in the year. Then you can log on here and spout all that stuff about how it was an achievement to get beaten 6-1 (which will be the scoreline, should it happen) by them.
A real possibility? Its very much likely we will win the league. I mean.....Man City.....come on, seriously......they beat us 6-1 and yet we are right on their heels. They better hope they dont slip up once before May. Oh and winning the El is no different to winning nothing.

That's just the nature of fan rivalry. Liverpool fans are now bashing us for playing in the EL, despite not even being in Europe this season. It is a worthwhile trophy, but not, imo, as worthwhile as the CL, PL or FA Cup. Not really. Since the advent of the PL / CL era we have a poor record against Real from the Galactico era, but a decent record against all the others.
True, but hardly poor when almost half the games were against Barca and Real. Particularly when you consider that two of our defeats against Barca and two against Real came in years they won the EC and were comfortably the best side in the world. A few of the defeats and draws to Valencia and Deportivo were also in the final CL group games when we'd already qualified as group winners.
