Gutted by the result today but livid with the officials. All this cr*p about the offside evening things up is utter rubbish. Going one up would have been a game changer as the pressure would have been on them and recently they have capitulated. We'd have grown in strength and pushed on. Then to top it all we get the injustice of penalties turned down. Hughes needs to use this as best he can. Backs to the wall, events conspiring against us and were not going to be defeated by them. We will come out fighting and I truly believe there is enough quality in the team to take points off those bigger teams. It's going to go to the wire but together we must fight this with a never say die attitude. Players (Ngog) may cheat and dive, officials will cock things up, penalties wont be given but we are QPR and we will survive. Come on you r's!!
Not sure you'll get too many followers for this thread. But it's not over 'til the math says so! COYRs
1545: QPR manager Mark Hughes, reacting to the controversial game at Reebok Stadium: "I'm really disappointed in the performance of the officials. The referee was let down by his assistants. Clearly the ball was over the line. The linesman is there to see that - that is what his job is. The linesman didn't see it. "Laughably the FA have come out almost immediately as said they're in favour of goal-line technology. "What we're finding is that key moments and key decisions in games are going against us. Please just give us an opportunity to play the game and show how well we can play. And do it on our own merits. "Circumstances like today just bring us closer together. Today, it wasn't about football. We just need officials to give us a fair crack of the whip. " Copied from BBC Web site
It couldn't have been offside, it came off a Bolton player. If it hadn't, it wouldn't have found Cisse.
He was offside when it was played therefore Cisse was offside - but if Hills goal had stood I am convinced we would have won.
Just a minor blip. C***ed up by the refs, shambles. Still only one point less than I've predicted from this one, only problem to the equation though is Bolton have two more than they should. But there is enough wins left out there for us to fight for and as the chubby lady hasn't sung a tune yet means there's still hope. If it wasn't we might as well just forfeit the remaining games, don't be silly, hang in there cause we'll make it! You R's!
QPR midfielder Joey Barton on Twitter: "Big decisions all wrong. Ref saying: "Don't blame us blame, the FA for not having goal line technology!" Sort of sums it all up. Baffled…"
I think Jonny is right Swords. Your thinking of a situation where a defender plays him in. However the offside offence is complete before defender touches it so should have been given.
OK in that regard there were 2 players off side in the lead up to their 1st goal, i thought they had to be inactive until that phase of play was complete, yet it was only completed when one of them scored, or am i thinking of last week off side rule?
Most positive thing I think of is that if we go down there'll be a clear out. Mark Hughes, SWP, Bothroyd, Derry, Barton: The door's that way, now **** off out of here.
Hopefully at some point soon we will have a full first team to choose from and we have 10 days to prepare for next game. Liverpool on the other hand will have played today, Tuesday and next Sunday so hopefully will be knackered and there for the taking!!
So Clint's goal was a goal. Their first goal: they had two players offside in an important run up to the goal. Cisse was offside I will give you that. And we had a penalty turned down that was a double definite We was robbed ...again Life has conspired badly against us this season But I do believe that what goes around comes around, sometime and we will get a few important but dubious decisions that really matter. This season, next season. We will rise again (this season, next season)....we are QPR Come on u RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRs (was that positive enough...it's all I can manage)
