    They are not. You are supposed to stop eating as much. Smaller quantity, smaller bill.

    But you are supposed to eat the good healthy foods. But these cost so much more than the sweets and frozen foods.

    • landing on snow and ice covered run ways
    • 1 light aircraft journey
    • 1 landing in a blizzard
    • seeing the Aurora Borealis 6 times
    • being pulled through the wilderness by 10 huskies
    • getting stuck in waist high snow at the top of a mountain
    • drifting a bus around a round-a-bout
    • a 4 day boat journey
    • going to the Russian border
    • standing at the most Northern part of Europe
    • sleeping in a hotel made of ice
    • eating reindeer, elk, arctic char, stock fish, cod's tongue, 600 frankfurters, 400 waffles
    • drinking 800 mugs of hot chocolate
    • paying £25 for a bag of crisps, a chocolate bar, 2 packets of cakes and a bottle of coke
    • being involved in a fight between a Romanian taxi driver and a Swedish barman
    • having an armed escort to our hotel
    • realising I now have a wife.

    Pretty regular honeymoon!

    Blimey, the things some people do on a honeymoon! Mine was spent in a beach hut on a Great Barrier Reef island. I had had the foresight to stock up well with essentials beforehand which was just as well - never left the hut for three days.;)

    My local team Chateauroux are away tonight in the north-east at Troyes. Half time now and they are leading 0-1. Looking at the live table they are only 5 points off automatic promotion. If they joined the top French league next season I doubt that they could compete.

    Still I have often noticed that if they do well on a Friday night, Watford do ok on the Saturday.

    Is there a smiley for fingers crossed?

    Morning all - up bright and early as a visit to the garage to take Mrs W_Y car in for it's MOT is called for. Then a day of "chores"...the list is prepared

    Turning into quite a bright morning in bandit country..even the Tortoise is up and about!

    Wonderful sunshine here, feels as if winter has departed for now. Watched the start of the Gardeners World series last night. You know when that starts that things are on the up.

    Chatauroux won their away game last night, so come on the Horns, do the same please.;)
