Could someone please clear this up for me?...

As Liverpool won the League Cup and have gained qualification to the Europa League through that, what happens if they finish in a Europa League Spot in the league? Does it go to Cardiff, or the next team below them in the Premiership?

    Cheers

Cardiff don't get it. If Liverpool finished 5th (unlikely), the Europa league spot will drop down to the team finishing in 6th.

    Okay
    definitely in
    Liverpool

    IF
    Liverpool finish 4th, 5th and 6th qualify

    Liverpool finish 5th, 6th qualifies

Spurs and Chelsea or Liverpool contest the FA Cup final, an extra EL place opens up

If the FA Cup is between two of Chelsea/Spurs/Liverpool, then we qualifiy if we finish in the top 6, or in 7th behind Liverpool.

If the FA Cup includes any other team, then EL place will go to the winner or, if they are already in Europe, to the loser.

its weird because I remember last year Liverpool finishing 5th but getting done over by arsenal in the Birmingham carling cup game
it opens up different situations and fans rooting for teams they cant stand!! to help them out lol!!

    Everton v Sunderland Sat 17 Mar 12:45
    Tottenham v Bolton Sat 17 Mar 17:30
    Chelsea v Leicester Sun 18 Mar 14:05
    Liverpool v Stoke Sun 18 Mar 16:00

I can see all top three teams going through but what scares me if Sunderland goes through
and flukes it into the final yikes!! could you imagine Sunderland stealing our euro spot
we would hear it for years as their ultimate revenge against us!!

Sunderland have a very realistic shot at the cup. They knocked Arsenal out, after all

The onlyteam I'd be really surprised to see them beat is Tottenham, and they've gone off the boil recently

Without Sessignon and Catermole Sunderland will lose at Everton and their Stupidity up here will have cost them a place in the F.A. cup.

Everton, Spuds, Chelsea and the bin dippers will make it to the semis. I;d predict a merseyside derby for one semi and Spuds vs Chelsea for the other

It was only fair. Every single letter was represented in the UEFA Cup that year except N and Z, but who cares about Z? Someone had to represent N, and we stepped up to the plate, we showed the balls to represent N.

League cup runners up do not get a Europa place, it goes to the next highest placed team in the Premiership

FA cup runners up do get a Europa place, unless they qualify for Europe by another method - in which case, it goes to the Premiership.

So, if the FA cup final features only teams that have already qualified for Europe, and Liverpool finish in 7th or higher, the top 7 teams get into Europe.
