The one thing I thought might keep our struggling retail market going, apart from Godders buying goodies for the lovely Mrs Godders, was that highly paid professional footballers would be all spend, spend, spend. Not so. According to Morgan in his interview he cannot "make shopping" (sic) the day after a game. With games coming thick and fast shops must be suffering.

If you haven't seen the interview give yourself a pre-match treat. Not only is this guy a fabulous footballer, but he clearly has a good brain. No wonder he is seen by Nigel as one of brighter stars.

I spoke to Morgan a couple of times at the awards dinner (in French) and he came across as a very intelligent young man.

And by the way ... just how good was THAT pass on Tuesday night

fatletiss, its funny when you can say that his assist on tuesday wasn't as good as his assist against Ipswich for Lallana. Talented Footballer.

The very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov is no longer prepared to wear my old 1976 cup final shirt but went to the Megastore this week and bought her very own Saints' tops home and away with you know who's name on the back of each.

I suppose I should be jealous but like her I think the guy is just the business and why should I worry if at that very moment she reaches the peak of ecstasy she calls out his name in a very strong French accent. I did all the work leading up to that moment and as they say "the pleasure is all mine".

If I thought for one minute she stood half a chance with Morgan I might be more than just a little bit jealous.

All I can say is that thank God she thinks Rooney is a revolting little prat otherwise I might start to get more than a little worried.

Heaven forbid the old girl may still be a cracker but she is knocking on a bit now.

Oh Godders, your posts alone make this site worth visiting. I think it was on 8 Out Of 10 Cats where apparently a survey showed that 1 in 10 men would let David Beckham sleep with their wife. I think I'd be one of those men, but with Morgan. Or Rickie. Or Kelvin. Or Beckham to be honest. They've more than earned it. Not that I have a wife :(

Blimey, Godders, you've excelled yourself. Not sure I can take this level of personal revelation at this time of the morning. I have decided to presume that for people in the autumn of their lives this ecstasy business is a result of getting 4 numbers on the lottery, or discovering a particularly great bargain at M&S (well it's my experience you old goat!).

Have a good day, both. I'm just setting off on my pilgrimage.
