Stick your err ummm mate The post I mentioned stated that Hammers were encroaching on other boards, from where I sit, that's very much the case. Everytime I come on here the West Ham board has more others than us at a ratio of about 10:1
Poor old Beddy. Comes back from a nice holiday with Nefertiti and then probably wishes he'd stayed. To explain. On the WHU forum there are two or three constant posters, all of which migrate over to ours to keep warm. As we often have them popping over, we pop back occasionally. As there are many more of us here, that means we swell your ranks when we pop across.
That thread was only a bit of fun. When did football fans become so sensitive about a bit of bragging/banter? Grow some bollocks you big pansies. We might have had an off night against Watford, but we are still only 2 points behind you with a game in hand. I wouldn't mind betting that we will be above you this time tomorrow aswell. COYI.
If Saints remain above West Ham at the conclusion of tomorrow's games, you'll allow this board to choose a new screen name for you, and will dutifully use it for the remainder of the season. Said name will have to remain within the rules, but otherwise is at our discretion...and will probably involve the word Hoofball in some context. If West Ham wins and Southampton does not, you can choose a new name for me. Sound like a deal? If we're going to be WUMmed, it will at least mean a giggle every time we see your name.
Not really a fair bet baring in mind you are 2/5 to win tomorrow is it? Heres a bet i am willing to make though. If you win the league, i will pay £25 to a charity of your choice. If we win it, you pay £25 to the Bobby Moore Fund. Screen shots of receipts required. Deal?
I proposed a non-financial bet for a reason; I'm on the other side of the Atlantic, and a previous use of my credit card with a non-North American currency it ended with them freezing my account on suspicion of identity theft, even though it was authorized for such. And of course, I don't really doubt West Ham's ability to win the league...I was interested in whether you actually believed that they would be top as of tomorrow, as you suggested, or if you were just wumming again. It appears to be the latter.
Interesting point, my old sunshine. The "sensitive" one is clearly our good friend Brooking. This thread was meant to be a light hearted poke at your original thread . Matter of fact, you didn't have an "off night" against Watford, from what I have read, any more than we did against Ipswich. We both had one of those nights when the ball just didn't drop kindly. The whole point is that there will be many such twists and turns before the end of the season and we'd better get used to it. Back to your original thread, I did find it amusing and I was aware of your tongue being in your cheek as you wrote it. Why not? West Ham had just had a very good win, and you were buzzing. Good luck to you mate, but those sort of threads will often merit a response. It's called banter. We do it on here!
