This has been discussed on many threads and should be brought together in one BIG thread.

Simple question, when Harper retires, Krul or Forster?

The way Harper played yesterday either one would be better, but we should try and make sure we keep them both.

We cant compare them until Forster plays in the PL or if Krul goes on loan to Celtic.

Next year loan Krul out (to Celtic if possible) and have Forster as Harper's back up. We'll be in a much better position to decide then.

    Next season:

    Forster - GK
    Krul - sub GK

  9. I can't believe there's even a decision in this. Forster has played how many games for us?

Krul isn't as good as Harper yet, in terms of communication and instinct, but he's made some vital saves, and helped us earn some vital points.

Krul all the way, and Forster as back up.

Who does Forster have to makes saves against? Kilmarnock? ****in Hibs?

Krul has had to play against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea. Krul has proven himself, and it would be a sin not to let him improve.
Forster will have to wait his turn or **** off. Harper waited a life time for the pleasure, Krul has been in the subs for 2/3 years now. Forster has been playing first team football all season, and could win the title with Celtic.
He's had loads of time to enjoy himself. Krul has had to work hard at each opportunity.

    Krul everyday.

How can you make a judgement like that before you even watch Forster play for us? How is he going to get games when out on loan?

Krul for now, get forster back and let him prove himself when he get's his chance, harper had to wait ten years to become number one!!! let forster impress in training, say all the right things and look sharp and when a drop in form/injury keeps krul out let's see what he can do.

  13. All i'm saying is Krul has played well for us, and he should be allowed to carry on his career here. Forster has done nothing for us.
If Forster was better than Krul, then the expert coaches and Chris Hughton, would have seen it.

There must have been something about Krul that Hughton and our coaching staff thought worthy keeping, and that decision put Forster 3rd choice and out on loan.

Krul has proved himself, therefore should be first in line for a game if Harper is out. Forster will have the pleasure of being 2nd in line then. Perhaps we could give Forster and Krul share of the cup games?

I'd want Forster on the bench/challenging Harper next season, Krul on loan at Celtic, or a Prem/Championship club. Then come 2012/13 let Krul and Forster battle with one another for the #1 shirt. I don't see how Forster being out on loan, with a lot of demand for him after Norwich, makes him worse than Krul? Surely it's a good sign when the club want to help you develop rather than just have you in the reserves/on the bench as backup? There's only so many keepers we can give games to at our club, doesn't mean that those we choose to keep around (at levels which don't matter) are the best.
