Agree with everything you just said. Glad we didn't spend huge on Adam, can't say the same about the other two though
Yeah we havent spent well at all. Trouble is being out of Champs League means you have to get the best of the tier below or find hidden talent. Couple with the new takeover and people knew we had money. The Carroll buy was bad as it was very risky on his genuine class and set a precedant for us getting ripped off for Downing and Henderson. Carroll buy really stinks from all angles.

Yeah I agree. We panicked when Torres left because it meant little to no strikers and we were teeting in the bottom half. They though screw it take a gamble. Appalling that he turned out to be injured and didn't realy feature in the end of the season. We spent 20-23 million too much on his which meant we ending up spending 8 mill too much on Henderson and Downing.
