Managed to find this on http://thekop.liverpoolfc.tv/_Our-biggest-flops-38-biggest-tops/blog/5693912/173471.html?b=

In my opinion Stewart Downing has to be the biggest disappointment so far this season.

As a winger, i find it so frustrating that he hardly ever beats defenders and almost always cuts back insde and passes the ball instead of crossing it, which gives defenders in the box extra time to form. Hopefully he gets his act together soon and can contribute with some telling crosses because at the moment he is anonomous for LFC.

Charlie Adam has to be right up there with the biggest flop of the season. He cannot run, needs endless amount of time on the ball to make a pass, and commits silly fouls due to his lack of awareness and pace. Thankfully Gerrard is back to take his place as he is simply not starting 11 material.

On the positive side, i feel Andy Carrol cannot be regarded as flop this season as he really has not been given an extended run in the first team. With a fit again Gerrard and Bellamy hopefully taking Downingd's left side position things should improve for the lanky forward. Put it this way, he surely cannot have a worse season next year than this current one!

Henderson to me is a work in progress, showing signs that he is capable of linking up with the forward line and is able to pick a pass. I feel he is improving with each game that he plays. In many people's view he is a waste of 20mil but his value will be realise next season. Definately one for the future.

Enrique to me is the buy of the summer. We've always had a problem at left back and Jose has stabalised things in the back four which has been a telling factor in LFC resurgeance defensively. Good going forward, links up well with Bellamy in particular and in my view the player who has made the biggest difference in our team.

I must make mention of the importance of a fit Dan Agger means to LFC. What a great partnership he has formed with Skrtel and our back four look solid.

I still have question marks over Johnsons' defending. No doubt great going forward but defensively he is out of position so many times at set pieces and seems to be ball watching when crosses are flying into our box. Would really love to see if playing him at right wing and Kelly at right back would work.

Big low point for me was the injury to Lucas. He was really becoming a solid link between our defence and our mids, such a pitty he got injured when he did.

Hopefully we can add a striker and a right wing in the transfer window and re-look at things at the end of the season.

    Just some views :) YNWA

Sorry, someone also made a comment at the bottom. He showed this, think it looks pretty good tbh.

    Suarez - Remy

    Shaquiri - Gerrard - Shelvey - Sterling

    Enrique - Agger - Skrtel - Johnson

    Reina

That is a squad capable of performing with confidence and the ability to put the ball in the back of the net. Shaquiri is a promising young player who should be generating more attention from Comolli and KK. Remy is a lethal weapon up front and the ideal companion for the drribbler in suarez. I feel like the young talent at LFC should be given a shot in the top flight. Henderson and Downing should feel under pressure to retain their spot in the starting XI. Competition for places is what brings out the best in footballers, yet, Downing remians number one choice on the flank despite being low on both confidence and production (0 goals, 0 assists. When signing him in the summer he was thought to be the wide man to provide assists to the big man Andy Carroll but has shown little quality and has done little to justify his 20 m signing. Time for KK to check other, more youthful and energized options within LFC and elsewhere. I'd imagine Remy would be far less than the 24 m wanted for Bent althought Shaquiri's services may be a bit more expensive.

Shaquiri and Remy are good shouts and i wouldnt consider them out of reach at all. I would also like sterling to be given a chance but cannot see it happening

What the guy said about Downing is exactly what happened with us and Bentley. You either need to move him inside and play him as a centre mid, like he did at times for Villa or just take a big loss on him and get rid quick.

Dunno what the rest of you think though, but I think he seems to be improving, especially when he's played where he's suppose to play, which is on the left. He's created a lot more chances lately than he did before. He wouldn't seem so bad I don't think if we had a goal scorer who could actually make the most of his chances.

Glen Johnson for me has to be moved up the pitch to either right or left mid. Kelly is more than ready to be playing all the time and Johnson is great going forward but a shocking defender imo.

Yeh, kelly's better and defending but isn't as good going forward. Whereas like you've said, Johnsons the other way around.

Here are some things that annoy me about the carroll fee ( 35). First, he barely even featured that spring due to injury, might as well just held the fort with Kuyt and looked in the summer. Second, for that same 35 mil you could have bought any of these 3: Sow, Honda, Shaquiri, Podolski who have all either moved or agreed a fee for 10 million pounds. 3 top quality players, attacking players for the price of the 1. that is something I still have so much trouble getting over.

But, it is what it is and until he gets at the very least 10+ Carroll will be a flop for me. He has time on his hands but he needs to get it together and the team as well ( Downing especially as he was bought to provide for Carroll, one fails the other fails type of situation).

In regards to the article, I always thought Downing was a terrible buy and he's managed to be even worse than I thought he would be.

I expected more from Adam but he has been dire.

Don't agree about Carroll - he has very much flopped. Jury is out on his future despite better performances.

Henderson I thought was okay. Not so convinced now.

Bellamy and Jose have been brilliant though.
