He's played a couple of times for the u-18's and has had a couple of games with the big boys. But that's all really, but he makes me more confident than Carra does though.
I just know that he is ridiculously highly rated. Reckoned to be potentially the best Uruguayan defender ever, which is a canny claim considering Lugano & Godin from the current team are both excellent.
Tim Vickery, BBC, rates him (always read his column, he's spot on for South Americans), and in a review of the u20 championship, means a lot more over there, they really take it seriously, where he was apparently outstanding. He went to the Copa America as well, very impressive for his age, given the talent in the squad (they won it, of course). He won 'young player of the tournament'
Yeh he did. He won something for the being the best youngest defender or something, I don't really know much about that - If anyone else knows what he was awarded for then feel free to comment
Would think if he was ready for a Copa America, and performed to that standard, then he'd at least be being eased in now, considering Carra's age, and the fact that Skrtel & Agger are seemingly made out of damp cardboard.

Yeh I know I will be. Ofc a win is best for both, we all know that fourth spot is probably out of reach for us but 5th isn't really. Would love to finish above the Chavs
I'm surprised at you to be honest, not in where you are, but more in the recruitment policy. Suarez was a great buy, and Carroll, well it made sense at the time, but it strikes me that Kenny lost the plot a wee bit after that. I think for top 4 you need maybe 5 really good quality players, and that's tough. Not being a twat here, you just look really short to me. What's your view on this? Be interested to hear. Have you still to play Chelsea?
I do sort of agree. The most important thing is a goalscorer. This is a must, Comolli and KK must be able to see that we create heaps of chances but we just aren't netting them. The defence and GK doesn't need touching. The midfield may be questionable, because we have no lucas - but he should be back after this season. A decent right winger and a prolific goalscorer is a must if I'm honest. And yes we do play chelsea, at our own gaff. Think that's the only top 6 team we have left to play, and it's at the very end of the season.
I thought the Meireles sale was bizarre, and to this day I maintain Babel could have made it given a run and some confidence. I always assumed you would sign Arda Turan, I have no idea why, it just seemed the right player, I know you've been linked with Bent, him and Suarez would score hatfuls. Replacing Gerrard? Where the **** do you start with that one! Maybe someone like Eriksen from Ajax, but then you need an out and out defensive holding player. Maybe Kenny was a bit too keen on buying British. Big, big summer for you guys.
Needs to be a big summer. Gerrard hasn't been as good since Lucas has been out but that's because he's too busy babysitting Adam :L Once Lucas is back he can play further up the pitch, offering service to Suarez - which means Suarez wont have to do all the work himself. He does so many tricks in such tight places I think he gets confused about where he ends up at haha.
He seems to like the club and the passion around it, but it must have ****ed him right off the media witch-hunt. I suppose, if he where to go, you'd be looking at £40million approx. Buy Remy & Bent, goalscoring issues solved!
I know many will want him to stay, but I think he will leave. I think life in England and constantly being berated everywhere he turns, he would probably like to get away. Come on PSG, 50 Mil and as you say, we can go buy 2 quality players.
