You cannot get a player from outside England on an emergency loan. The emergency loan rule doesn't exist in most countries.

Greg Wylde will be a target for a lot of clubs. I'd be very surprised if he's given special dispensation to sign for someone outside the transfer window.

Utter nonsense. you dont have to go to the lengths you refer to. the names that have been mentioned of late are no better than what we have. the sad fact is that there is nothing available at the moment that improves the goal scoring situation. What we need most is a striker coach who can actually coach our strikers in how to score goals. If Chris Chilton can turn Billy Whitehurst into the player he became then its an easy ask to work with Fryatt Mclean and the others. The problem is not that hard to solve really, imo.

yes correct. taken a deeper look at his stats. He also scored a good goal (the 1st) in Colchesters 2-0 win @ Charlton on tuesday night. Would be well within our means money wise.

First though lets get Vito signed up on a permanant in the summer. Need to agree a fee with Arsenal first though.

I don't think we'll sign Vito, I think Eldin Jakupović might well be our No.1 next season.

Its all down to the Fee Arsenal want. As things stand Vito can leave Arsenal in the summer. That other lad could well be the No.2 though. Basso due to his knees and Gulacsi wont be back reading between the lines of NB interviews. Oxley - Peet and Cracknell need to be sent out on loan or released if they are not good enough.

I don't know anything for sure and we might well bid for him, I was just told we had Eldin Jakupović on trial as a potential No.1 for next season.

If there's one player we should be pushing the boat out to sign it's Vito. He's young, very good, he seems happy here and Arsenal clearly don't want him. He's already an integral part of our defence and the other players trust him.
Surely the only question is that apparent scarcity at the KC these days - money for signing players.

There may well be nothing available now that could improve our goalscoring situation however in january there were plenty of better players available!

Perhaps our benefactors think £45m is quite enough to have spent in their first year?

I know I know I'm Oliver Twist asking for a bit more porridge aren't I?
It's just that I seem to remember echoes of people saying "funds would be available if we were challenging for promotion in January" and the Daily Mirror getting it wrong when they said we only had a £1million transfer kitty when it was apparently 'millions'.
I realise we aren't allowed to question anything relating to transfer funds because of the £45 million (and to do so makes you a traitor), but can you tell me how long that rule will last - 1 season, 2, 10?

It will last until the summer.

The fact is that they have spent £45 on the club this year and that's a scary amount, even if you're as wealthy as them. We're still playing substantial wages to players who don't play for us, in the summer we'll lose the wages of Kilbane, Harper, Atkinson, Basso, Gulacsi, Garcia, Adebola and we'll try again to shift Macca, Simpson and Ghilas, along with one or two others, including players who are currently playing. Hopefully that will free up enough funds for us to bring a few new bodies in.

Thanks for that. It's just a shame we weren't treated like adults and told that from the start instead of being given disinformation about money being available.
I think most of us could have coped with the news that there were no funds, but as it stands there are still a lot of supporters expecting new signings to be coming through the door.

There's quite a few 'bloody rubbish City' types on here.

£45m to guarantee the future of the club, but they want a bit more. Yesterday.

No matter how decent things are (right in the middle of the scrap for play offs on the pitch, debt-free off it) people still want, nay demand, more.

Do we forget who we are? We are Hull City & we have nearly gone to the wall a few times. Have we learned nothing?

So Barmby's taking the flack for not signing anyone to protect the owners because they don't want to plough any more money in? Why did they not just say, look there's no money available in jauary so we will not be signing anyone until the summer?

No one on here has been asking for 5 or 10 million pound sigings. We can all see we need a forward or two. A loan a cheap signing. Le Fondre for 400 grand. Sinclair, someone to shake the team up a bit thats all. Whether we signed someone in Jan or not this problem will not go away next season unless we address it.
The team as a whole do not score enough goals. Is it the system or the players? We are on here to discuss it not get abusive or have a go at others opinions.

Surely we could have afforded a striker on loan?
