My team for the Liverpool game, if Richardson doesn't make it, is the following:

    MIG

    Bardsley, O'Shea, Turner, Bridge

    Larsson, Meyler, Gardener, McClean

    Campbell, Bendtner

Subs: Gordon, Kyriagos, Colback, Vaughan, Ji, Killgallon, Noble

I would go for the game and and expose a slow, aging Liverpool defense.

    May well be the team...

    Isn't Kyriagos injured?

What has Wickham done so wrong to be dis-missed from everyone's thoughts?

See you've thrown Noble in there....

I'd put Vaughan in midfield ahead of Meyler, I really want to see Bridge start a game, i think he still has it.

Defender John O'Shea will face Liverpool on Saturday wearing a protective cast over a broken bone in his hand as Sunderland count the cost of a bruising derby encounter.

The 30-year-old suffered the fracture during Sunday's stormy 1-1 draw at Newcastle, in which the Black Cats conceded an injury-time equaliser as victory was snatched from their grasp at the death.

O'Shea finished the game, but went to see a specialist on Monday and has been given the go-ahead to play in the cast.

Manager Martin O'Neill told the Sunderland Echo: "John O'Shea got a hand injury at Newcastle. It's a small bone in his hand which has fractured.

O'Shea with a cast on his hand and Bendtner with a protective shield over his eyes. I won't know if I'm in the SOL or casualty!

That would be my choice but I think he will go for the experience of Vaughan ahead of Meyler. If Ricco is fit i would leave out Seb and play him in a free role behind the front 2 utilising his pace from knockdowns.
