Welcome aboard Basil. In case you're interested, I think there is a bespoke Android App for this forum available, which might give more functionality than tapatalk. I'll admit I've used neither though.
Just spotted this. That's an exceptionally good likeness with the air inlet on top, the overhanging nose and the wing at the bottom.
Cheers, I'll look into it. Made the switch to Tapatalk for all my forums as some of the individual forum apps were slow to update for the latest version of Android. Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using Tapatalk
lets hope it has roughly the same grip levels too. Ah, but people have seen it this time, and doesn't have a step.
I like the mclaren but there is somrthing odd and clumsy about it and it doesnt look race'y for some reason.
It doesn't look that slow to me. The car that suprises me is the Ferrari. Just looking at it gives me the impression it'll fall apart very quickly (typical italian build quality then)
The Marussia car does not have a stepped nose, allegedly. Marussia receive technical support from McLaren. I haven't voted yet.
And nothing for Marussia, the only other team to have no step. I wonder how it would fare if the pole were opened now.
yeah, I thought that at the time, + I don't think everyone was really that objective, how could the 2 ugliest cars get votes? It's like voting for Jo Brand in FHM's sexiest woman vote.
In the end, this turns out to be close for me. The Mclaren is extremely good looking, but for me it's got to be the HRT. That livery is fantastic, pretty sure it won't be quick, so it's a good job it looks nice. Marussia and HRT have, in my opinion, gone a weird way with the step noses. HRT seems to have a mix between a tep and Mclaren's, and while Marussia's doesnt have a step, from the front, it looks a bit weird, like it want to have a step nose, but then never does. Its a shame that the 2 slowest teams on the grid have decided to mix it up a bit rather than those at the front. I'd really like to see what effect it would have on a mid field running car. Even if their approach does make them quicker, I'm pretty sure they still wont overtake Caterham
The only thing up with the HRT is the front wing, which is very much 45 degree lines. If it was a bit more fancy and smooth like the Mclaren's I'd have no hesitation in voting for it - lovely subtle stepped nose. The Marussia on the other hand I just despise. It's like someone drew the basic outline of the car and then said "Yeah, that'll do."
