If he didnt want to go, then why did he? He had a 5 year contract, you cant be forced out when you have a contract. Simple as.

I think you are all being a bit harsh on her...That block on the line was immense, Carroll couldn't have done MUCH more to score (lost his marker, headed down, back across goal).

I didn't think he played particularly badly, hasn't played in a while and a **** load more than Strolla or McLoven did yesterday!

N as Acid said, no-one could 'force' him out, he had a legally binding contract, he left because he chose to (whether he was given a shove is a different matter) but at the end of the day, he could've said no!

Got to say I thought he was the biggest threat on the pitch from both teams today, and Bramble could easily have been sent off for a professional foul on him.

I thought he was ****ing abysmal personally like. The ball bounced off him at every opportunity and he seemed to let the crowd get the better of him.

Shame as i think he's a nice lad.

I think it was both the crowd and the players around him...No captain's arm round him like he had in Nolan, no understanding coach like he had in Hughton, no loyal/faithful fans like he had at Newcastle (I don't mean that Liverpool fans aren't loyal, he just hasn't proven his £35m price tag, he cost us nout and so had less pressure on him from fans).

For a player who'd made so many mistakes so early on in such a young career, a move like this couldn't have been more wrong IMO. Still, if he can start scoring early I think the Kop will take to him and then it's just down to him to stay out of trouble!

To be fair to the bin dippers they give him a rousing applause off the pitch and Carroll acknowledged it all the way off. He wouldn't have wanted to look anywhere else like as he was getting jeered from 47k others.

He'll come good for them, i have no doubt, but he was ****e today.

    Andy Carroll is a Geordie.

A Geordie with very long hair who prefers to play his football for Liverpool.

    The ****.

Doesn't say much about Bramble who struggled today.
