It looks like his best position is in the middle, almost box-to-box, similar to Scholes and Fabregas (his role, not class). I think the sky's the limit. At the very least he'll be a decent PL first-teamer, top 6 material. He's very important to us, and will become more so as Murphys legs go more and more. I'm not sure he's quite ready to star in a top 6 team week-in, week-out yet, but he'll get there.
Hmm interesting. I always thought we should pinch him from you and play him wide in our system. You dont think he could play as a wide forward ala pires or ronaldo?
He is fast becoming our most important player. We look a different team altogether when he plays. He came to us as a forward/winger but big Mart is after converting him into a central midfielder where he has been a revelation for us. He is one of the best dribblers around with his close control, very hard to dispossess. If there was any criticism I'd have is that his finishing could be better bur his link up play is magnificent. At the moment he would fit into most teams of the top 6, he potentially could become one of the best in the league. I think he would do well for Arsenal but if/when he goes from us he is sure to make us a nice bit of money!
He is not that good. Don't read what Fulham fans say. Boring player and wonder why Jol is still persisting with him... Arsenal don't need him!
Don't worry, Wenger seems to take perverse pleasure in not doing what the Arsenal fans want. So if they want Dembele, you can guarantee they'll get someone else!
Actually read somewhere Jol is thinking of loaning them to Crystal Palace to get them back on form...
Sounds like as suspected he is amazing. Everytime I see him I think he is a special talent. Just needs to find and perfect a tactical position. A dutch man is good to help him start that process and then mr wenger is the ultimate at helping him to perfect it
I don't think Mr Wenger wouldn't be able to do a better job in developing Moussa than MJ. Anyway Dembele is rubbish, I'm not entirely sure why we keep playing him. You'd be better going after Van der Vart or Lampard!
I honestly don't think he's a great fit for Arsenal. He holds the ball too long for their offense. I could see him with one of the other big teams, though. That's not my hoope of course, but I could see it happening.
I must admit him not moving the ball fast enough and his poor finishing are the biggest worries. Maybe we could fit him into the fabregas role though. Would be a perfect fit in our system imo.
Playing him wide would not work, but through the middle box-to-box plays to his strengths. And he's gradually learning to offload slightly earlier, making him a better player in the Fulham team. Anyway he'd be rubbish/never fit in at your place.
