Sometimes I really wonder about my profession, phonecall today - "Can you be in Weston-super-mare to start work on Wednesday. Afraid we don't know how long the job will last" So looks like its going to be another spell living in a B and B, at least this time its on the coast.
Evening all - just had a couple of beers with a mate and his son who is great mates with Little Miss W_Y - he is off to Afghan in the morning. Puts some perspective into life after the tragic events of this week...
What is wrong with old people? They die so regularly. A close friend died before Christmas, he was not as old as me, and now my former neighbour has died and the memorial service is tomorrow. My neighbourhad moved away but was still in contact so it is hard. He was a good man and president of the local lawyers association. I go now as I wish to be at work early again tomorrow. I think I will not service the Nest until KL.8:30. Góða nótt for today.
evening all thanks for that Barry, at least they're getting ripped off as much as we are! w_y...too right..we have to keep things in perspective. Good luck to him.
Right, i am going to bed. I should have been in bed about 2yrs ago as i have a 7:00 start and i dont like to be driving too tired. Night night all. I will see you about tomorrow. please log in to view this image
Góðan daginn til allra. Cappuccino, coffee, tea donuts and fruit are on the bar. I am here as I am waiting for my computer to start. It has two programs that talk to each other but if one has a big file you have to start in the other and request it. You can not send and open. This is a pain in the bottom as the computer files are very big and take a long time to fall down. Anyway there is frothy cappuccinos for for al, HH, Leon and W_Y Coffees for COYH, Frenchie, Kev rob and theo Strong coffee for Sandy Milky coffee for Yorkie Espresso for SuffolkHorn Strong black coffees for Bragi Norway and zen Black coffee half hot half cold and no sugar for Charlie Tea for BHD jsybarry jerzeypie Lloydinio and BCFCRed Hot chocolate with marshmallows for BBW Tea with skimmed milk and no sugar for GG Tea and cake for Minx Caramel latte for Hornette Redwine for NZ as he is so ahead of us in time because the weekend is already in Christchurch Weather office says we are to have snow. They were wrong yesterday.
Thanks for the coffee Ak I know what you mean about getting old, you get to see your old friends more when you attend funerals but the problem is there are less of them each time.
Morning all. Thanks for the tea AK i am enjoying that now. I do struggle to wake up on friday, im just glad that its not dark anymore. Today is my busiest day with 3 lectures one after each other, but they are my fav too.
I am the only person in my office so I am making a tour of the internet. No Watford news except we are looking at Joel Ward, so he will go obviously somewhere else.
Lovely bright morning here, a good day to get and do just a few outside jobs. After winter when staying warm is the first thing to consider, you can get out and over do things, then regret it with the resulting aches. So a little light garden pruning and tidying up seems to be a gentle enough start. I see that both Manchester clubs lost in Europe last night. Is the 'best league in the world' the result of too much hype, or do the foreign teams just have better foreign players than the foreign players that have taken over our teams?
Morning all - quite a nice day in bandit country. Tesco done, just had to sit through a rather dull WEBEX meeting and now just off to see my rather lovely dentist for a check-up...that will brighten my day....
I hear Ipswich want him. I need to do Tesco too, but Mr H keeps complaining about the bills so i'm holding out as long as poss...why are diets so expensive?! Morning all, thanks for the caramel latte Ak . I'm off to the treadmill for a bit, and then out for a lovely lunch with a good mate. I do love Fridays ...see you in a bit and if i don't..have a good one!
Morning all Some high cloud cover here today...supposed to get better later. I am about to be recruited to roll out croissant dough. It's a harder job than you might think...a ten inch square has to be rolled out to 44 inches. Tomorrow's breakfast should prove whether or not it's been worth the three day effort!
