Nothing will be made of the 2 atrocious decisions that benefited Bilbao because they went against Man Utd not far them.

We deserved to lose that match anyway so I'm not going to do an ABU and cry conspiracy. In fact, we should really have lost by far more. A dreadful performance and I'm just glad it wasn't a league match.

 

Their second goal was offside, that's it. Got to say my heart bleeds for you all.

 

Bilbao are clearly a very good side.

There passing in midfield was similar to Barcas , and it seemed to have the same effect as barcas did on utd..

The spanish teams are getting stronger and stronger it seems .

 

Dont forget English sides getting worse. I ask anyone to say the Premier League is the best league in the world after this season.

 

It annoys me that nothing will be made of the decisions that benefited Bilbao because if they had gone to Man Utd there would be the usual cries of conspiracy and all the other bullshit.

Not using that as an excuse for the result though. We were terrible and should have lost by far more.

We are at our level.Prem. may be the best entertainment but not the best unfortunately.Still think we can get something over there though.

I thought you were OK at the back and had a threat up front, with no middle whatsoever, giggs and rooney gave the ball away too many times in good positions

I'm not that bothered by the Europa League (I think we should be out of Europe all together after our shambolic Champions League performances) but it is still worrying to see us playing that badly.

Try watching the Spanish league week in, week out - you'll soon fall asleep. As many illustrious figures have pointed out - the EPL has INTENSITY. Might be crap technically but it grips you.

Compare The Filth v Español with Spurs v Arsenal. Well, you can't.

Having said that, well played Athletic. It seems that the final of the Europa League will not "have to be" (sic) the two Manchester teams!

The 6th best team in *****lia would have been too good for us on tonight's performance.

I hope our players are given a kick up the arse by this but they seem to have learned nothing after humiliations in the Champions League and at home to Ajax this season.

Anyways, it's a sad night when you lose 3-2 at home and your fans are barely heard and your 2 best players are the goalie and the guy who banged in the 2 goals.

Rant over, but it's not happening for us in Europe this season. To some extent I hope Giggs and Scholes retire, so that we may buy midfielders.
