That's a tricky position to fill as the good ones tend to get very expensive. When I was managing Saints I went for Kightly, but I presume you're looking for someone with a bit more potential? Are you managing Saints, and how much can you spend? Vladimir Weiss is one player who comes to mind.
I recommended James Forrest a few pages back but not sure if you saw it. Amazing player. Got 23 assists and 11 goals in one season for me in the Premier League one time and he's on course to break the assists mark and i'm only in January ! I really suggest you sign him if you can. If he doesn't look good right away, he improves....a lot !

Matt Phillips... Great potential and really good anyway. Can get him for 2-3 mill. I got him for 3 mill in my third season
Tried getting popov but they demanded 14mil upfront and incentives. Forrest is at Watford in div1 and playing ****. So brought Shaarawy for 6mil .
Had him 2 seasons in my game, has kinda gone down hill and very inconsistent. Going to keep him as back up tho.
