I was wondering which of the above scenario's Arsenal fans would prefer? And of course which would us Spurs fans prefer? Although I think that is obvious. FA Cup and 4th place would be lovely.
i'm obviusly saying this from the point of view that your where 2 nil up against us so i'd prefer we finished 3rd, you collapsed to 5th and you lost in the next of fa cup round to bolton .... i'd settle for 4th behind you and you dont win the cup .... you win nothing, as usual, so do we as usual but we get something we need that was in serious doubt when 2 nil down to you. all three more likely to happen then when you were 2 nil up against us and then you got played off the park and now injuries may hit home ... lets see how it alll settles shall we .... after our worst season in recent times to be 4 points behind you says a lot about your best season ever in the prem league then our form. the extra games may effect you as key players gone down ... who knows what will happen .. the 13 point difference you had a 2 nil lead against us is now touchable ... squeaky bum time is around the corner ... who will blow it like when you were 2 nil up?. good luck in the run in, a tad more interesting now me thinks but advantage spurs for sure, just look out for those 2 nil leads
Arsenal can't win the FA Cup, though. I'd be pleased with either but winning the FA Cup would be brilliant.
Sorry YV, I dont think I made it very clear, it was really to see if Arsenal fans would rather finish above us but see us lift the FA Cup or would they rather finish below us and for us to win nothing.
Lovely? do you have pink bed sheets? But as for your question, 3rd is important, thats what we need to secure as to be overtaken by the goons wouldn't be "lovely".
can't even make sense amongst your own, wow what a thread, that 2 nil lead loss must really have affected the old gray matter, never mind. im sure bolton will have something to say about the fa cup and it looks like finally we have woken up and may have something to say about 3rd place. amazing what losing a 2 nil lead can do to a season i guess. winning the league in black and white must also affect reasoning so guess i'll let you off with such an innane attepmt at wind up ..... as i said , good luck with the run in, lets see how it all pans out ...
I'm not sure why people think this is a wind up. It's a fairly straightforward question, in my opinion.
PNP ...OK What would spurs fans like more .... to finish 4th behind arsenal, no fa cup and keep the your manager or to finish 4th behind Arsenal lose to bolton and keep the Rednknapp as your manager for next season? answer by post please as i don't do email, phones texts or anything too traceable .. a perfectly straight forward question imo.
You're a little fragile, aren't you? Your scenario has no good point for Spurs, whereas the OP's one has two balanced and achievable alternatives. It's quite sad that you can't see the difference, to be honest.
Isn't keeping your manager supposed to be the positive option for Spurs, although surprisingly there were about 5 or 6 callers on 5 live who were either happy that Rednapp goes to the England job, or even wanted him sacked after losing to us and United. Crazy imo.
Redknapp staying or leaving has nothing to do with our league finish though, does it? You didn't have him leaving under either scenario, anyway. The OP offered two alternatives that both have a positive and a negative for each team. It was balanced. Yours offered two negatives. It wasn't balanced.
The only difference between the two options is that in the first we don't know at what stage we got out of the FA Cup, although we're told we don't win it. I'd go for the second option as I don't think I could handle the FA Cup suspense. Topgun, I'd take anything you hear on a football phone in with a pinch of salt. I'm sure they'd have been hit with a barrage of calls for Wenger's head by Arsenal fans in January.
Thank you PNP I was just wondering if Arsenal fans thought it was more important to finish above us even if that mean us winning the FA Cup, I thought it was a reasonable question to ask to be honest.
