Lambert and Adkins up for award

Lambert should get player of month, but I think Reading's manager will pip Adkins. Adkins often nominated but another manager has always done better each month, but Adkins must be the most consistent over the season so far. If we get the title he will surely be manager of season. Looks like he'll avoid the curse of the award this month though.

 

Good the award is a jinx. Let Reading have it and watch them stumble!

 

Don't care for these stupid awards anymore. They wont win you titles or promotion. Lambert will have is eyes on the golden boot award more than these awards for 'the best player for 5 minutes in the opinion of a prawn sandwich brigade'.

Just wondered how many MOM adwards Adkins has won - done excellant for us, but dont think he has won that many - anyone know how many he has won?

 

Reading's Adam Fererici and Ipswich's Lee Martin.
Rickie should get that but Matt Lucas...sorry, Brian McDermott should get Manager's award.

 

He's never won it. (That's according to Wikipedia - so it MUST be true!!)

Interestingly enough, McDermott has won it twice, March 2010 and April 2011. Funny how it seems to be around the same time each year.

Pretty sure he's won it once or twice. April 2011 was one.

 

Hasn't won it this season though. Always seems to be a game that lets us down every month...otherwise we'd be top by miles.

 

Ah, my bad - he did win it in April 2011. Luckily we only had a few games left to go!! He also won it in Feb 2007 when he was at Scunny in L1.
