Taken from the daily fail:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...clear-didnt-want-shake-Luis-Suarezs-hand.html

Glen Johnson exclusive: Evra made it clear he didn't REALLY want to shake Suarez's hand

Glen Johnson was five players down the line when Luis Suarez seemingly refused to shake hands with Patrice Evra at Old Trafford last month. He didn’t see it.

The Liverpool defender has watched it plenty of times on television since, though, and he is convinced of what happened.

‘Evra was clever at Old Trafford,’ said Johnson, extending his hand directly towards me. ‘Because - I’m not being funny - but if I wanted to shake your hand I would stick it right out in front of me like that. But if my hand is down here, almost by my side, then it’s because I really don’t want to shake your hand.
On the ball: Glen Johnson is convinced Luis Suarez would never use racist words and backs him over the Patrice Evra handshake affair

On the ball: Glen Johnson is convinced Luis Suarez would never use racist words and backs him over the Patrice Evra handshake affair

‘Luis didn’t shake his hand because Evra’s hand was down there. What else is Luis supposed to do? Would you go to shake someone’s hand if their hand is way down there by their side? Course not. But then, because Luis didn’t do it, Evra has pulled him back by his arm as he walked on, as if to say to everybody: “Look, I wanted to shake his hand and he didn’t…”

‘He’s following Luis with his eyes as if to say: “Right he’s gone, he’s gone (past me) so I’ll pull him back now…” Evra probably stayed up all night thinking about how to do that. The whole thing was ridiculous.’

This week Johnson became the first member of Kenny Dalglish’s squad to talk in detail about the Suarez-Evra episode, a saga that shook football and - in many people’s eyes - left a dent in Liverpool’s reputation.

It would appear that those who think the resentment surrounding this awful dispute has vanished are quite wrong.

Glen Johnson is the guy who got dragged into a race storm that had nothing to do with him.

Liverpool’s only black first-team player, the England defender has been criticised by other black sportsmen for standing by Luis Suarez after the Uruguay forward was found by the FA to have made racist comments to Manchester United’s Patrice Evra during a game last October.

-------

Will they ever just shut up and admit they were wrong?

Come on guys, it quite clearly states in the article he was asked direct questions and replied with his view of them.
We are all entitled to our opinions regardless whether other people agree with them or not.

The trick is not to answer them. Sometimes its best just to say no comment.

I can't believe he has brought this **** back up again - direct questions or not ( I don't see what difference that makes ).

As for what was Suarez supposed to do - well he could have just offered his hand ? Anyone watching these images on TV can clearly see Suarez never had any intention of shaking hands. The problem is Liverpool players, staff and some fans have told themselves this sort of **** so many times they are actually starting to believe it.

****ers.

Should I start crying and tell you to go back to your own board like you have just done on your board you immature clown ?

I might ask him when the last time he had sex and if it was any good or if he also thinks you're a bellend like the rest of us, seeming as he has to answer questions if asked <doh>

Slur Alex - wow - you are so mature <ok>

Go and talk to your 'friends in places' <laugh>

The scousers are showing themselves for what they truly are. They put up Johnson up to demean Evra.

It is all in Dalglish the buffoon's plan. I cannot believe he thinks he can win that war. He has taken the wrong decision at every turnand now he put Johnson up to defend the despicable acts of Suarez.

The scousers will yet again have to apologise. They couldn't careless about the feelings of the black community.

The despicable scousers will have deserved all the flak that will come their way. Do they think they can call someone n***** and get away with it?

Last time they defended Suarez a black player got abused by their own fans. I am sure something like this will happen again. This is the type of people we are dealing with.

Why don't you f*****g go back to your board you bigoted c**t? It was you scousers who revived the whole episode. We can be sure that it was the buffoon manager who devised the whole thing to put one over Evra.

If he is, and I quote the scouse thread on their board, "only answering a question", then I'd be interested to know why said reporter didn't bother to ask directly what Johnson, as a black man, thought about the actual incident rather than the (non)handshake that followed. I'd love his honest answer to that question.

Otherwise it looks rather conveniently staged for said black man to be answering this question and so feebly attempting (so obviously by Liverpool FC) to once more defend Suarez's actions in this.

Bored of it myself, I can only repeat what I've always said and that's that in my mind I am 100% certain that Suarez said what he said in an aggresively racist way. End of.

**** all Liverpool have said or will ever say will change my mind.

Any sensible player when questioned would just say "I'm not going there" or "that's one for another player" or "watch the replay and make your own decision".

Plus for people saying that he was there so his opinion matters. He wasn't there - if you watch it again he was much further along the line (in front of Suarez) so it all happened behind him.

Anyway hasn't Suarez already apologised over this, therefore showing that it was him who didn't shake Evra's hand?

Try telling that to the bellend though Ruffian. He thinks 'no comment' or simply refusing to discuss the matter isn't a possiblity and that he just answered because he was asked.

Blinkered beyond belief. The whole matter should be done and dusted now but a certain club can't let it go.

It's in the article! "Listen, I’m my own man. If I have something I want to say or do then I will do it. The reason I wore the T-shirt is because I know 100 per cent Luis Suarez is not racist." "‘I work with him every day. I know what he is like. Other people don’t. I will not change my view."
