    Fowler - 37 next month
Phillips - well on his way to 39
Taylor-Fletcher - currently 30. Not sure he quite qualifies <laugh>

I thought Taylor-Fletcher was older than that, it seems like decades ago that he was with us.

Yeah didn't realise he was that young when he was here. Same with Caleb Folan though when he was on loan from Leeds

Kevin Phillips is a class act, but Fowler has lost it when he decided to go to Australia.

The Mail is a **** source, they've got the worst hit rate on transfer stories of all the papers(ironically, The Sun actually has the best record).

Fowler used to be one of my favourite players.......15 years ago though, he didn't pull up any trees in the Championship 2-3 seasons ago and he won't this season either

His coming could either give our strike force a much needed kick up the arse, or disrupt the dressing room with his wage demand.
He won't come cheap as he's motivation can only to get another big payday to buy more property in Liverpool.

Personally don't think we need him.

Personally I would have anyone who might kick-start our attack.
Danny Webber wasn't on anyone's wish list, but Colin picked him up and by all accounts he looked like their most dangerous player last night.
Sometimes the chemistry between a player and one team just works when they're useless everywhere else.

I thought Webber looked good last night but speaking to Leeds fans after the game, they weren't too impressed! They probably think they should be signing Prem strikers because they are a prem club.

if fowler did come here, which i severely doubht, if nothing else just think of the benefits for our younger attackers, working daily in training with arguably the premierships greatest ever finisher...we need to do something, not as if our attack can be made any more impotent.

And now we're in for him <laugh>

No solid reports, just Goal.com and City Independent, and it may just be someone putting two and two together and getting five, Barmby and Fowler being former teammates and all that.
His most recent record is 2 goals in 13 games in the Thai league for Muangthong United, so I'm not exactly convinced he'd be the answer to our problems

<edit> Oh. I thought this thread was long gone, and had no idea the topic had moved onto a possible move to us <laugh>

See Fowler got offered 100 quid a week by Blackpool with a bonus of £5k per game!

Correct. He wont be at Blackpool. Any possible deal has collapsed there. Rumours in the media that we are interested indeed. ;)

G.T.F. is 31 on 4th June. I also thought he was older. Then again Kevin MacNaughton of Cardiff City is only 29 yet he looks 49. Lol.

    Pretty sure this is bollocks.

Fowler fails to agree terms with Blackpool - "Quick, find me another Championship club to link him to."

    "Hull need a striker?"

"Yes! Barmby played with him at Liverpool. Perfect!"
