    Hey you!
Don't tell me there's no hope at all.
Together we stand, divided we fall.

    Hey you!
Don't help them to bury the light
Don't give in without a fight.

And in the words of Dave, for the fickle out there. Don't give in to fear, nothing good comes from it. Believe and we'll be stronger as a unit.

    But it was only fantasy.
    The wall was too high,
    As you can see.
    No matter how he tried,
    He could not break free.
And the worms ate into his brain.

If we can adopt a tougher attitude with stronger belief, it will transform from the stands down to the players on the pitch.

If we do this I'm 100% convinced we'll make it with something to spare.
Maybe not 8th Dave, but at least 16th ;)

    YOU R's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never been a Floyd fan, not because I don't like them. It's just that I've never really invested the time into listening to them. This post might have just changed all that. Cheers Norway. Good words too, I agree 100%.

I remember the first Floyd album I bought cost 37s 6d in 1969! They all cost silly money these days...

Skip the soundtracks though - More and Obscured by Clouds.

I started with Dark Side and worked chronologically backwards (then forwards to the Wall).

    Simply brilliant.

I will do HH, everyone says the early stuff is best. My Missus used to work in the music industry ( creating album covers ) and brought home hundreds of cd's and stuff. Lot's of prime tickets to gigs as well. The CD's are all packed into a box in the Loft, i'll have to get it down and have a look. I'm sure she worked on one called ' Pulse ' or something, it had a flashing light on it. Is that any good?
Btw, I can play 'Another Brick in the Wall' on my guitar, I'm just about to embark on the solo part.

Norway, I know the song 'Money', very apt and has a great guitar rift as I remember.

I will do HH, cheers. I love discovering old music that still stands up today, there is something quite remarkable that these musicians created these incredible sounds before the computer age.

Preach it Brother Norway! I for one am not planning to trade my walk on part in a war (following Rangers) for a lead role in a cage (becoming a plastic fan of a top team)!

… Okay, so maybe I’ve stretched the metaphor beyond breaking point there...

Anyway, shine on you crazy diamond!

Can I just stick up for anyone who can't stand feckin Pink Floyd? Self indulgent, middle classed twiddly twaddle prog rock nonsense. And yes I do know what I am talking about having had to sit through every poxy album they ever made during a brief (not brief enough) fling with a bird who insisted that they were the next best thing to breathing. The silly cow played them non-stop, it has left me with post traumatic stress disorder.

From Loftus Road to Arnold Lane, yes very strange! But for me one of the best bands that ever was, if not the best band that ever was!

Grove, LOL. More into Punk/Reggae in my earlier years, never much liked the 10 min lead breaks or 2 songs per side album merchants.

The Floyd can only be appreciated as you age. As a young man it had to be loud fast and angry...hence The Clash coloured most of my teenage years
